Title artwork for a new series that begins this Sunday. This series will serve as 2010 vision casting series...that all of church (and our lives) is really centered on the cross and if we simply proclaim a "lifted Christ" that he will draw men unto himself...based on Jn 12:32. Obviously I wanted to keep the design "simple", but also to illuminate the center focus - Christ crucified.
Thoughts? Improvements?
I did this simple design at a birthday party in Albuquerque,New Mexico, we had about 250 teens to do henna on! We had a lot of fun!

Sometimes it is nice to just keep it simple. I stitched up a simple cream color felt stocking with ecru floss, added some pretty off-white cotton lace and little shiny buttons.
Description: This 1909 Ford Model T is an icon of American innovation. Introduced in October 1908, the Model T was an immediate success and would soon transform the automobile industry, the nation and the world. The innovative design of the Model T set it apart from other cars of the day. A flexible and lightweight chassis allowed it to adapt well to rough American roads. A simple and efficient engine provided enough power to take a family on a Sunday drive in the country or run farm equipment. The Model T was easy to operate and repair. And it was affordable. Priced between $825 and $1000, the Model T fell within the price range of many Americans. Henry Ford's intent was to produce a car "for the great multitude." His inexpensive, efficient and reliable Model T put car ownership within the reach of many people - and planted the desire for ownership in the mind of nearly everyone. It put the world on wheels.

This girl has decided to start the design at the wrist and end it at the pinky and ring finger instead of the usual index finger.
Julian Franklin taught the kids all about Simple Machines in an exciting program with lots of audience participation!

This card uses images (flora and 'Friend' sentiment) from an Archiver's exclusive Hero Arts set called "Friend". The definition background was masked off and stamped, then the flora image was stamped on top of that and heat embossed with white EP. Black gemstones were added for sparkle. The edges of the card were scored with my Scor-Pal tool. Thanks so much for looking! :)

Simple Wave (Scopula junctaria) – Hodges#7164
This poor wave moth was missing a chunk of one hindwing. It could also be a Large Lace-border (BugGuide / MPG), but most Large Lace-borders I've seen are more heavily marked than this individual, and this moth seems to lack some of the discal spots that are characteristic of that species.
