It is the simple things that make our souls smile, like an evening walk by a great lake while inhaling the random snowflake augmented virgin air, floating down from the nearby mountains.
A sense of wonder is provided by spectacular nature and the late golden sunlight that can visually elevate its mundane man made contributions, resulting in an impressive sight.
Love this week's challenge as I am pressed for time nowadays and glad to get some holiday cards out of the way!
Stamped background using Dots K5192 in Versamark. Then applied Stickles to random circles to create a snow effect.
I made 10 of these in less than an hour!

Simple como reír en vez de llorar, como caminar hacia delante en vez de hacia atrás, como encontrar un motivo en vez de esconderlo. Es tan simple como entender que tu sueño no se va a cumplir si no lo persigues, y es aún más simple que pararse a pensar dónde, cómo, cuándo y sobre todo, por qué. Here's my submission for FlickrFriday's "Keep It Simple" theme.
So why this photo, well when I was thinking of something for this week's theme I was torn between a few different photo's but which direction, technique or subject, maybe a combination... After pondering this with an Earl Grey tea and a biscuit (very British you know) I decided that there was a "Keep It Simple" photo opportunity sitting right there in front of me.
I went for a clean background to help link the simple and refreshing theme. "Keep It Simple" with no Milk or Sugar :-)
Dec. 1 - I have been working with a former student on an essay which features the word "simple." Thus my photo eye lead me to the dictionary for my picture of the day! How interesting that the definition for "simple" is much longer than for other words. This causes me to wonder how simple is "simple"?
I chuckle to see "simple" used in mathematical terms across this dictionary page! Ha! Many of my former math students didn't think "simple fractions" and "simple equations" to be so simple.
Also, I enjoyed thinking about the etymology of the words or phrases for various words on this dictionary page. In which books or journals were these simple mathematical terms first seen in ink: simple fraction (1728) and simple equation (1758)?

Después de una semana oscura oscurísima, de unos miles de pruebas, de desmontar la cocina y habitación de mi hija (porqué la habitación más luminosa de mi casa justo esta semana está a oscuras por rotura de persiana, snif), me decido por dos de las fotografías más simples que he hecho.
A pesar de que me ha costado mucho, lo he pasado bien, haciendo croquis y apuntando ideas a montones... que luego no han resultado como esperaba. Una cosa si he aprendido y es un gran avance para mi: he aprendido a borrar (que si no lleno el disco duro). También estoy contenta porqué ya "automáticamente" pongo mi cámara en modo manual!
