The view at 8.30 this morning plus trying something different.

Turn up the volume for some real Rock N' Roll!

Gotta love that Hoya ND400 Hey! I really think this one is a absolute cracker long exposure.

A storm on the horizon was shifting north across the horizon so i thought i would capture it and with my Magic Hoya, i placed it for around a 5 min exposure. Man, i didn't think it would turn a storm into this. Admittedly it was sunrise, but the light it caught is surreal. I am really stoked i got this because the sun was staring at us through the clouds to the left of frame and here i was with the camera facing towards a storm and i thought also it was out of focus so i didn't know whether to stop it and not miss the action.

I am glad i didn't!!!

Great to meet fellow flickr addict John this morning, its always great to meet like minded people especially when your getting a cracker dawn like we did.

This is an old industrial area near the Hertford town centre just off the road called The Wash which has a bridge over the River Lea. I had walked by the Lea then walking into The Wash via this pathway. The road allows access to a small parking area for homes and businesses in this area. The wall on the right is in full sunlight and the red is an electrical feed of some sort.

I am so in love with all of the beautiful flowers that are available now at the flower shop. I couldn't resist the beautiful pink of these roses.

Low tide on Bexhill beach reveals the sand, and it's perfect for the dogs to have a run around. At high tide, we only have shingle.

I don't have a dog of my own - I have 6 cats instead - but I do love to watch the dogs running about and having fun :)

Spending Time with a Backyard Friend on a Warm Sunday Afternoon :-)

i love the simple way light gleams on seashells. these are the first seashells that my son and I found on the beach.

Amazing is the the joy something so simple, delicate and transparent can provide.

Goes to show, sometimes life can be better with some bubbly.

An unexpected trip out to Christchurch. This part of the Convent Walk along the mill stream was quiet and peaceful.

I have been studying a lot about the process of making your image convey the emotion that you felt when you took it and the processes i have been practicing really do allow you to recreate if necessary the feeling of what it was like when you actually took the shot. I have posted this one because i thoroughly remember the thought going through my mind on the morning and this is what makes me connect to that feeling. I hope you like my efforts.

Photographing a colorful sunrise is usually a hit or miss situation. When my ego gets the better of me and I think I've got it figured out, Mother Nature has a habit of reminding me that color isn't everything and to just enjoy the view.

Being just amidst nature is simple pleasure of lives sometimes..

in a well-known café in palma de mallorca, two women engage in lively conversation. the gentle summer evening casts a warm glow over their animated faces as they share stories, laughter, and perhaps a touch of nostalgia. the empty cups and glasses between them speak of time well spent, the joy of connection, and the simple pleasures of life.

endless seashells if viewed larger sizes

I've recently been playing with a Light Box - something new to me, and it's proving to be wonderful! It gives a gentle even light that works so well with soft pastel colours and white. And it's been a couple of years since I've had geraniums in the garden, so it is a special pleasure to be able to shoot them again.

Photographing flowers from the garden is one of my Simple Pleasures. Having tended the flowers, there is a special delight in taking their portraits ;o)

It's not easy growing flowers outdoors here in the NE of Scotland. It's wet windy and very cold for most of the year. So we treasure the flowers that do manage to survive in our garden. The gladioli that a friend planted a few summers ago have given us such pleasure. This is last year's pink and white stem. It's a shot I never used at the time, but this week's prompt had me diving into the archives - I hope it is acceptable!! ;o)

My lovely Granny! Had a hard time before Christmas after a fall and needing an operation on her hip.

She's looking so well and pictured here enjoying a little winter sunshine and watching her great grandchildren playing in the garden - one of lifes simple pleasures.

ODC SIMPLE PLEASURES

Really nothing special here--takes forever to snap a picture, and shooting indoors is a big mistake. But, I used to take that thing everywhere. And then, I got a smartphone, and I eventually stopped using this camera. Turns out that smartphones are great cameras because they are with you all the time. So, naturally, smartphone cameras have gotten better and better and are now using AI to simulate lighting and depth of field--which is super cool. Anyway, I found this the other day, and I think it's funny that I went back to using cameras.

Laughing out loud with our crazy girl Zaynah, her smile is just a simple and great pleasure! She makes my soul sing!

Many thanks to all who takes the time to view, comment and fave my pictures!

A simple summer pleasure.
