beautiful she is, a wanderer of her land

being silly as she looks at the sky

where the birds fly like they are the faces in the clouds

as the sun shines warmth and beauty for all in the land to breathe

I hate the color cast on his face from the hat. :( Maybe I'll do a b/w lol.

Silly Bailey Bear was featured on Love Meow today! Amy, you're awesome! Thank you so much! We're thrilled and honored :)

So, to celebrate, I thought I'd post a short video of him doing what he does best...causing trouble :)

Please note that we have tied our plant with a bungee cord to stop Bailey Bear from toppling it over! Yup, very classy :) At least it's upstairs where most guests don't venture :)

Also, since plants are Husband's domain, he wants everyone to know that the pot wasn't so dirty before we got Bailey Bear...somehow toppling it over when Husband had just watered, and spilling wet muddy water all over the sides seemed much more fun :)

Mr. Monkey the MoJo Man having big fun.

And yes, we are at the rest area in the MCF.

I'm tossing The Monkey a piece of hotdog.

And no, I am not eating the hotdog a small

bag of chopped hotdog meat, is always in

my possession as we traverse the uneven

mud cobra field looking for adventure ;-)--

Whenever we stop, a couple pieces of

hotdog is then given to both the dogs.

Basically, I was trying to make a frame to Frame picture incorporating the woman walking in front of me. However, these guys were making silly faces. I changed the focus to these folks!

For Emily who is feeling sad ): x

I can be silly at times. I hate always putting my -___- face on.

LugNut having a fun time and goofing off riding in my kayak.

Never had a real actual proper 180 degree fisheye lens before, and never felt like paying for one. But this is a second hand Chinese Altura 8mm f/3.0 manual focus lens in Canon EOS/EF mount and it was cheap even by my standards. Here it's stopped down to f/5.6 or 8 with on-camera flash. Some color fringing toward the corners, but really a pretty good performance, especially at the price.

The real trick to this lens is focusing it - the image in the viewfinder is so small you really can't see anything well enough to even pretend to focus the lens. So what it needs is a camera with Live View, open that up and enlarge the image to 10x to focus (also I think it's best to focus at your stopped-down aperture because it looks like there may be some focus shift as you stop down). Once you have it set, the depth of field is so great you don't have to worry about moving an inch or two between focusing and pulling the trigger.

Lens position here is maybe 4 inches from the Minolta.

I was trying out various "creative" filter settings on my Panasonic Lumix camera while waiting to meet up with a friend. I concluded they are rather extreme and silly.

If anybody can appreciate this weeks theme at Feathery Friday-this fellow who is having a birthday today can.

Happy Birthday Jim!

The new craze here at school. Meave started the trend! :D I had ten in this pic! I've fourteen now! A dog, a chicken, a crocodile, a bunch 'o' bananas, a pear, a tiger, a bear, a flying bird, a cockatoo, a parrot, a bull, the letter E, a lion and a swan. :) Thanks Meave for giving me the pack of wild animals! :D

Supersized Silly Sunday…

It’s that loco again, which somehow or other has crossed the Atlantic and appeared deep in The Forest of Dean at the sidings of a little known colliery.

Many of our regulars have left the comfort of the Miners Arms pub to take in the incredible sight. It’s thought that the management have been on that fangled ’interweb thing’ splashing the cash on yet another unsuitable but never the less magnificent shunting loco.

From left to right… Waving Wayne waves the loco through, he always gets the waving job, ‘cos that’s what he does best. Deliberation Dave is counting the wheels, but he’s struggling after his 7 pints at the pub, so will shortly give up counting and record the number as ‘probably more than 10’.

Pete’s standing on the loco being photographed by Dud with his back to us. He wants the photograph for an advert in the lonely hearts section of The Freeminer & Tree Hugger’s Gazette - a popular periodical with nature loving lonely single late middle aged men with coal under their fingernails in the Forest. The resulting photograph will indicate to any possible suitors that he has a ‘big one’, though of course as we know with big car drivers, it’s usually quite the opposite.

Freddy the Flag, clutches his red warning flag, but has decided not to bother waving it in this instance, because it’s pretty obvious that while the engine is a potential hazard, if you didn’t see it coming you’re probably best left to the powers of natural selection anyway.

Everyone’s favourite, Hubert the conversational Latin speaking horse is struggling to find suitable Latin to describe such a magnificent steamy beast, for the Romans didn’t have steam locomotives as far as I’m aware. Though I’m sure one or two of the many fluent Latin conversationalists here will be able to smugly advise Hubert.

Cica Ghost has created a fun and Silly place. I love it and the free purple bug! Be sure to drop by and see it while you can. maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Yasminia/197/123/46
