Now that's a graphics card!... or make that four PCBs (with optional compressorboard). It'll run Quake1 quite happily :D
In style with Silicon Graphics' earlier WebFORCE badging, I added a last.fm badge (which I got from Roel last friday, thanks!) to my audioscrobblin' Indy.
not long ago i spent some time in turning an old silicon graphics indy into a mp3 player... and during the holidays i spent even more time getting it to geektechnique.org/projectlab/835/update-the-indy-now-scro... and after that i kept having the thought it would be better to connect this setup to my stereo optically instead of electronically... and so i went out and bought a converter who does just that... (i tried a homegrown solution with an asus spdif backplate but that didn't work out somehow... ah well, this works for now and maybe this converter will give me the clues to still make a homegrown solution...)
now my mediacenter and my indy are both connected optically to my stereo...

A minor project delivered a 3D visualisation tool for the vast amount of data collected by the Laser Airborne Depth Sounder Unit. Making use of Fledermaus software and a high end workstation for the Royal Australian Navy Hydrographic Service. Photographed in Sydney in NSW, Australia, during the software evaluation and testing phase.
A visual fx artist and cinematographer that I work with. I just got some new strobes for the field (still not a big fan of strobes). Running a few test here before my gig tomorrow.

Nowadays, people just don't know how easy they have it!
This machine would have more of these, but it's stuffed full with three CPU cards instead
for some undisclosed appointment(^_^), i visited the High Performance Computing & Visualization Centre (HPC/V) this afternoon. And of course I took some pics!
(we were in a little bit of a rush, so quite some of these pics are a little shaky because my camera still was on iso 50...)
(i visited this very same centre more than five years ago too....)
