Across the Street from CBGB.
This part of New York is emblematic of the sea change happening here. Things seem to be moving at lightning speed in the neighborhood where I work. Lower Manhattan has always been a vital place for anybody who wants to create, be themselves, and go against the grain. Nowadays, to do that, you need a massive downpayment on a spankin new luxury condo or you need to cling to dear life to your rent stabilized apartment. I am doing the latter, only in Brooklyn.
OK so I haven't been to a show at CBGB in ten years. I still want to know that I CAN go and that the kids are still there doing their thing.

... Hummm ... I have to disagree with that sign...
... Of course , coming from a drunk robot ( is that possible ?? ) ... why am I not surprised by such a statement ...
Somewhere in Hillcrest -
This sign says "Observation cameras steal privacy". Big Brother is watching. Am I the only one who finds this a worrisome development?
This is happening worldwide, as witnessed in this photo: www.flickr.com/photos/jdefoore/2726609408/

I walked to and around Island Brook Park in #TrumbullCT today. Somehow I missed this little gem when I lived here as a child. It's not large, but has 4 softball fields, a playground, 3 tennis courts, and a basketball court.
