Hythe, 2011- thought this looked like an old sign but was rushing back to station to catch the last train so didn't have time to cross the busy road for a close-up!

I guess it seemed like a good idea on Saturday evening. It just seemed a bit sad on Sunday morning.

Today, I found a sign that spring is on the way! Crocuses...uh, Croci...pushing up amidst the snow. For the next few days, I'll post other signs of the promise of spring.

My friend, Pat, encouraged me to do a more precise ID. These are actually winter aconite (Eranthis). Thanks for clarifying the ID, Pat.

In this group of photos, I tried to use the concept of equivalent exposures in order to get a different perspective on something simple. This sign in this particular photo, the blue is very dulled out compared to the other two that are posted on my project 4. I wanted to remove the brightest color in the photo which was the blue in the sign. The blue in the photo you can clearly see is not a rich blue which in person is more like a royal blue.
