I saw this sign at a mechanic shop, thought it was quite funny, so I'll share it with everyone around the world.
A stop sign in Kensington Market (Toronto, ON) altered to make a political statement against wearing fur...other markings also proliferate the sign.

This sign is vague at best. What IS that other item next to the broken can? How often are you going to throw out a can that is that badly torn up? Could the "no" circle be hiding a hinge?
As a kid, I assumed that the can in question was a mouser from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and I've attempted a crude sketch of why exactly I thought this. As to my association of mousers with littering, I have the 1980's cartoon culture of constant public service announcements to thank; it seemed to follow that if the Ninja Turtles endorsed law-abiding and literacy, they would not endorse litter and the sewer dwelling mousers obviously would.
I was helpin' Will paint a couple of signs, "paint by number" style, for Roberta's Pizza over at Fader Fort. Here is the other. (Took it from his flickr)

Check him out. His work is totally wild.
Mexico appears to have the world’s most aggressive form of speed hump. They are called ‘Tope’ (pronounced toe-pay) – they are serious about speed reduction in Mexico.
On most of them the yellow paint is wearing thin, or none existent. There may be a sign at the side of the road warning a Tope or a series of Topes – or maybe not.
Note the 'only straight lines' font painted on the wall.
I love this building. On Main St in Santa Ana. Not sure why Laurel and Hardy are on the sign, but I love it.
This sign was downstairs in my sleeping car. However, it's clearly supposed to be in a coach car. Nevertheless, it is correctly pointing to the stairs and to the restrooms, and 2 out of 4 ain't bad if you're the designated hitter.
This sign sits above THE smokiest bar I have ever been in. My eyes started to water less than 4 seconds upon entering the joint.
New(?) sign letters gound in vacant store in Cermak Plaza...perhaps these are in the process of being installed on new facades on building?
Straight 2 Blks...2 BLOCKS! Wonder if this is the same Hilltop Motel referred to in the other sign a few photos ago?
Gayton Village Sign.
At the Mill End of Gayton, at the cross-roads, is the three-sided village signpost. The two prominent landmarks, church and windmill, are featured as well as what was once a familiar sight, a full haycart.
Vintage Amana heating sign outside an HVAC specialist. I think they still use this typeface on appliances.
I have found some local signs can seem to be a bit missleading
esp'ly for a visitor, the sign on the left seems to inform that our railway station is to the right at Fenton, the access is but its not Fenton station, whereas a stranger can see the station ahead ( thats the bridge ahead carrying the railway) tho' the bridge states 'low bridge ahead', yes there's one afta this but thats a low one too, so in my eyes asign here at this point wud inform drivers to be aware this is the one!. A sign before this had read : station/fenton, turn right, but we dont have a station at Fenton anymore, so it was pianted-out, as a car passenger I tend to notice these things, but I feel sorry for visitors on our roads.
n.b. - when one gets a 'GREEN' at this section, as you enter the next section the lights goto 'RED 'again,so you wait to enter the next section, ther is a bus lane on the left which they pull into but have to pull-out again as the road goes back to 1 lane, very few buses use it - I wonder why !
