Side by side comparison of the two separately sold 2013 Ariel play dolls by the Disney Store. On the left is the 12'' Classic Ariel Doll, on the right is the 16'' Singing Ariel Doll, from the Singing Ariel Doll Set. They are both in their mermaid outfits, which is how both of them come in the box. The 16'' also comes with a blue dress, which I will try on the doll in another photo series.
Their outfits are identical in design, but of course are different sizes. There is a glittering purple one piece shell bra, dark blue green tail with a glitter scale pattern, and light blue green tulle upper and lower fins. The glitter on the bra is well glued, but the blue green glitter on the tail sheds very readily, on both dolls. Both the bra and tail fit the dolls very well. The tail has an elastic top, and no velcro closure or other opening. It is easy to take the tail off and on.
Of course both dolls have legs underneath their tails. The 12'' doll has rubber legs, with internal knee joints, and fixed angled feet. She has full articulation in her arms. The 16'' singing doll has the same body construction as all the 16-17'' singing Disney Store dolls since their introduction in 2010. That is, she has a hard plastic body, with jointed neck, shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. She has feet in a fixed angle, even though she comes without shoes (the 2012 Singing Ariel doll did come with pink high heeled shoes). In their mermaid outfits, the Classic and Singing dolls stand at 11 1/2'' tall and 16 1/4'' tall respectively.
The 2013 singing doll's face is based on the 2012 Classic and Singing doll's faces, and in fact is identical to that of the 2012 Singing Ariel doll. The 2013 Classic doll's face is smaller and rounder, with darker eyes, rouge and lips. The 2013 singing doll's hair is closer to being in the style of the 2013 doll than the 2012 doll. Compared to the 2012 Classic and Singing Ariel dolls, the 2013 Singing Ariel's hair has less volume, is less curly, and doesn't have a side bang over her forehead that is tied with a rubber band and sewn to the hair underneath. The 2013 Classic Ariel's hairdo is very similar, but is gathered into a fixed curl at the end, which is fixed with hair product. Both of the 2013 Ariel dolls have a much more open face, with no bangs covering her forehead. The hair style is neater and easier to maintain than the 2012 style. The rounder face of the Classic doll makes her look younger, and in some ways is closer to the movie character than the Singing doll. But both dolls are very beautiful, and represent Ariel very well.
A MANHATTAN MUSIC FESTIVAL CELEBRATING VETERANS

A successful and high-profile event on every front, the jam-packed music bash was also the first-of-its-kind honoring military service. Britten was proud to take part, a feeling echoed in the words of Juan Serrano, director of Northwell Health’s Military and Veterans Liaison Services, who said, “It’s an honor to serve those who serve. No matter where, no matter why—no matter what."

My wife bought me an a6000. This is a side-by-side shot to show the size difference between both cameras. It seems I will be able to travel lighter from now on, and still shot decent pictures.

Quads oder ATVs (Abkürzung für All Terrain Vehicle) sind kleine Kraftfahrzeuge für ein bis zwei Personen mit vier Rädern, häufig dicke Stollenreifen. Der Fahrersitz ist meist wie beim Motorrad in Sattelform geschnitten. Zur Fahrwerksdämpfung werden in den neuesten Modellen regulierbare Stoßdämpfer an Vorder- und Hinterachse verbaut. Quads sind immer heckgetrieben, bei ATVs wird der Allradantrieb automatisch oder bei Bedarf zugeschaltet. ATVs werden daher auch eher zum Transport großer Lasten in schwer zugänglichem Gelände benutzt. Für Quads und ATVs ist in Deutschland die Fahrerlaubnis Klasse B (wie für PKWs) erforderlich.
Die Alpha Crew fährt derzeit mit dem Modell XP 850 von Polaris, das leichteste, kompakteste und zugleich stärkste Serien-Quad auf dem Markt. Es ist 320 Kilogramm schwer und – leicht modifiziert – etwa 80 PS stark und 140 km/h schnell. Neben dem Quad-Verleih bieten wir auch einen ATV-Verleih. Unsere ATV-Modelle können bis zu 1.000 Kilo Last ziehen. Wir transportieren damit auch unser eigenes Equipment. Zelte, Verpflegung und Ausrüstung bringen wir so durch unwegsames Gelände problemlos ans Ziel.
