We went up the funicular railway into the Cairngorm mountains in Scotland which have had snow every month for the last 9 months! The funicular operator called this season "the big dig" because they spent most of the winter digging out the funicular tracks and the car park. Was weird to see so much snow in the middle of May. Seeing the tracks got me thinking about how all the snow must be melting from the bottom into the mountain and then down, the turn tracks were still so clear.

the clocks have gone forward so it's a little dark in the morning but there was an amazing sunrise on monday and looking out my bedroom window I was reminded of Mary Poppins and all the chimney sweeps dancing on the rooftops! chim-chim-iney chim-chiminey chim chim cher-oooo.....
