Some magnificent sidelight after climbing Lingmoor Fell looking towards Side Pike and the Langdales. I've driven past a few times and never walked up it. On my birthday I decided to change that, left my wife in the cafe for the afternoon LOL.
This grizzly bear cub actually took a few side steps :-)! View previous photo to see the entire family.
Union Pacific and Reading & Northern provided an unforgettable experience this past weekend, bringing a Big Boy and a T1 alongside each other in northeastern Pennsylvania. After a couple of failed attempts, I was able to catch them on their last of four sections of side-by-side running heading north into Pittston. The sight and sounds of this spectacle are something I won't ever forget.

The oldest recorded Chestnut-sided Warbler was at least 6 years, 11 months old when it was found in Rhode Island in 1980. It had been banded in the same state in 1973.

We live on the beautiful Georgian Bay. There is so much rugged coastline to explore with the Niagara Escarpment running along the one edge of it. The water in the bay has these moods depending on the place you go and the weather. There have been many shipwrecks in the past because of the turbulence in the waves during strong storms. Although it is lovely to photograph the wild side of the bay, I am also drawn to this gentle side of the bay. This scene shows a puff of wind across the water and it reminds me of our sailing days on the bay. We are lucky to live here.

Of course Sethi looks great from every angle but at the moment this is really is best side as on the other side he still has his eye infection. The symptoms of his cold have subsided in the meantime but the eye infection hasn't really responded to the treatment and we had to change to another eye ointment. Tomorrow he'll see the vet again ...
Taken on the side of the road as I came across the old water tower in the Northamptonshire countryside. I just loved the long grasses and trees as it blended into the scene so well.
It was a grey dull day and the sky was overcast and dreary so I added some texture just to lift the feel and add some drama just for fun & experimentation.
RKO_6585. The other side of the famous colored houses at the Rietplas in Houten, The Netherlands. Most people make photo's of the colorful frontside, but the backside is at least as beautiful.
