We ventured out this evening to a concrete plant in Warwick RI. The group this time out was Threshold, Skazama, Rizzolo and rtlm40 and II Duce.
I was a bit scatterbrained this evening. Temperature was cool but it was super HUMID.
You can see a group pool here of all our shots on Flickr from the night or a slick slideshow here. It may take a week or so for all the shots to be posted.
For my Modern Swappers partner. I decided to have one side more Winter and one side Spring. Mostly this was because I had these awesome scraps sent to me by Alexia (who works with AMH) and I had the perfect amount to make this.
This side is made with the totally cute, to-be-released-this-Spring line from Anela called Sherbet Pips.
Side entrance to the partially destroyed nave of the Saint-Honorat church in the Alyscamps with a portal from later times.
"This church in the Provençal Romanesque style was built in the 12C on the remains of an older pre-Romanesque one. Some elements are dating from later times, Gothic and even Baroque.
Construction started in the middle of the 12th century preserving the walls of the original nave. The building, made entirely of blocks of stone, received an apse with three chapels and a robust two-storey crossing tower.
The nave was not completed. The building was abandoned at the beginning of the 13th century for lack of funds. A courtyard occupies now the space where the nave was to be built. Only the last, eastern one, of the five planned bays and the south wall of the fourth were built."
Alyscamps is a large Roman necropolis, one of the most famous necropolises of the ancient world.

Yarn bombed!!
This old home on 10th Street NW in Calgary has been purchased by the Calgary Homeless Foundation, and is slated for demolition. In it's place a home will be built for more than 25 Calgarians leaving homelessness. They plan on making this the largest 'yarn bombing' in the city to kickoff and celebrate the building of the home.

I have been debating for a long time of whether or not to post these. I really did not want it to come across as a boast of "look what I have" because that could not be further from what I feel. What I really what to convey it "look at the generosity and kindness that exists out there. Look at what to strangers, thousands of miles away, in two totally different countries can do and then what they are willing to do with all their hard work." I am humbled by their kindness, sacrifice and generosity.

Chestnut-sided Warbler, Dendroica pensylvanica, along the Mystery Trail at Union Village this morning. One of my favorite warblers, though I say that about all the warbler species.
An iron bird sculpture set on the edge of the lake at Little Bentley Hall, Essex, UK.
Worth viewing large as it looks a bit dark on the smaller pics.
