2010 ~ This red sandstone outcropping almost seems artificial, but this is just as I saw it. Loved the texture and hue. Reminds me of a Georia O'Keefe painting.
This was the first one we found. You could climb down to a ledge but to go further would take some rope and some technical skills.
A tiny freshwater spring trickles out from between the rocks, resulting in the isolated patches of bright wildflowers just feet from the Pacific's high tide line. Neat!

This made me very happy, my first blue since I was a kid, and it wasn't too shabby either.
I'm kinda crazy... rather than trying to catch fish all of the time, I just enjoy going through the same motions I did when I was a kid (when I was going for these little bluefish). Here, I did just that, AND caught one to boot. Happy.
