Belleri bars, produced in St. Etienne. This was an early American francophile bike. Original 80mm SR Royal stem and Bernard Hinault-branded Stronglight A9 alloy headset. Hooray for needle bearings.
It was project wrap and shellac day. I shellacked some cork grips for a roommate's bike, and added a couple layers to the Long Haul Trucker. Then I used some white Silva cork bar tape to make grips on the Rudge Sports, then twined it, and applied five layers of shellac. I used Bullseye pre-mixed amber shellac for the job.

Gramophone djing at the Champagne Gala evening for The Summer Exhibition.
What a glorious evening it was!
This is actually quite a nice color; unfortunately it will become darker once I apply the shellac on

My first DIY Shellac Manicure! I'm happy with it! I want to buy more colors and continue doing my own at home and not have to shell out $35+tip at the salon. I get at least 2 weeks out of each manicure. No chips, scratches or anything! LOVE.
Color: Shellac Masquerade
I've been applying shellac to the cork tape and grips on my bike. It's supposed to prolong the life of the tape/grips and gives it a nice look. It wears off so you need to reapply the shellac at regular intervals. I've used clear shellac in the past but this time I used amber. Do ya think they look pretty?
Herschel Gold Seal was a vanity press produced by Gennett for Harry Bernstein's chain of Minneapolis/St Paul record stores. This record was pressed around 1927 and is a relabel of Gennett 3388.
See Kurt Gegenhuber's terrific article, Music, Moonshine, and Mahjong for more about Harry Bernstein's story and Minneapolis's Jewish communities in the 1920s.
Killer early Latin Jazz by Machito.
Shellac 10'' 78rpm.
1950 French pressing on Vogue Productions label.
This may be a promo record given away by O'Shea's Jewelers or Parkview Markets. Slumberon was a mattress brand in the '40s/'50s.
