I've been applying shellac to the cork tape and grips on my bike. It's supposed to prolong the life of the tape/grips and gives it a nice look. It wears off so you need to reapply the shellac at regular intervals. I've used clear shellac in the past but this time I used amber. Do ya think they look pretty?
Holographic blue glitter over Hotski to Tchotchke (1 coat). Coz the glitter is really fine (0.008"), holographic effect is very scattered but looks jewel tone blue. A Shellac blue, at last. Spectacular!
I mixed ruby shellac flakes to denatured alcohol, but it was pretty difficult to measure for the right mixture. The first coat was very light, almost yellow, and I thought I had underestimated the amount of shellac. However, after four coats the colour turned out honey, very much like what Alex Singer bicycles often have.

A blue topaz (diameter 3.0 mm) hold by beeswax, ready to be set in a silver treble clef over the shellac stick. Mauro Cateb, Brazilian jeweler and silversmith.

Sliver holographic glitter over Studio White (1 coat). Accent nail: dark orange holographic over Cocoa (1 coat), should have used Wildfire or Iced Cappacinno instead.
