After using shellac on pale green Tressorex bar tape the edges of the tape without glue turned much darker giving a sort-of tiger stripe effect over the length of the taping. Looks not too bad though. Can be seen better on large view.
Amber shellac over yellow cloth tape seemed like the right color choice for the Raleigh.
Thanks again to Elton at Harris Cyclery for selling me the cloth tape, and for telling me to not over think it,, just brush it on and she'll look the part...

Estos discos llevaban la frase "Electro Special", dando a conocer su mejor calidad en sonido (grabación eléctrica.) Sin embargo, en la etiqueta sólo se imprimía el título de la obra y su ritmo (debido a que eran copias, jamás se supo el nombre de autores, cantantes ni orquestas que grabaron.) Además, algunos tenían la falla de poseer un surco de final (círculo centrado o excéntrico) más pequeño que la etiqueta, por ello, al ser prensados, éstos surcos quedaron parcialmente debajo del papel (los tamaños de etiquetas eran variados y la empresa no se adaptó a todos.)

The Tressorex cloth tape was originally yellow but turned this matching orange colour after around 10 coats of shellac. Campagnolo Valentino gear levers. Universal Mod.61 brake levers. Cinelli re-pop Criterium bars and 1A stem made in Taiwan now. Not as well made as the Italian originals but pretty cheap and look similar.
Mambo Beat (shellac) base coat with Haute Pink Pigment added to nail tips and finished with a clear shellac top coat; Crushed Diamonds (Belinda's special sparkly mix) shellac top coat on ring fingers and thumbs; all by Vinylux.
Mortor and pestal I made for Mike. Made from black walnut finished in boiled linseed oil and clear shellac. The inside has no finish to keep it food safe.
1 coat MOP over 2 coats TF. MOP is full of fine holographic glitter and gives TF great depth, totally awesome!

I've been seeing alot more kids at shows these past few days but I was still a little surprised to see kids at Shellac, though it was an all ages lunchtime show. (When I think Shellac, I don't exactly think lullabies) This is a diptych of the kids I saw there. VV is darker than expected so I layered it with Romantique to lighten it. In fact VV is more of greige with a slight lilac hue, nothing violet to me. But it has a lovely metallic/steel shine.
