The dried shell of a sea urchin, without its prickly cover. There are many of these scattered along the beach here where I'm staying in Maine.
This was seen at the butterfly conservation reserve at Prestbury Hill Gloucestershire UK. It was a loose piece of Cotswold stone lying in the grass and then I saw the shell embedded in it.

This store was built in 1985. It was formerly a Happy Store Fuel Mart that became a Mobil/Miller Mart combo in 1994.
These 10 year olds were not put off by the idea of painting these shells without pencil first. They then used a line drawing on an acetate overlay to create an extra dimension.
Scottoy Viberti tanker – Shell. These are white metal copies of Mercury models. Each of these tankers is one of a limited edition of 300 according to the certificates in the boxes.
