One of 20ish Sharp-tailed Sandpipers down at Mason Park, Sydney today. These are the early arrivals as there should be plenty there in a few weeks time.
Sharps Bridge was built in 1900 by the Pencoyd Iron Works of Pennsylvania. It's four separate spans total about 230 feet.
Sharps Tunnel is 511 feet long. Work began on the tunnel in September of 1899 and was completed by November of 1900.

A 5k walk Meia Praia beach in Lagos Portugal ends at the stone break water just before Alvor. The sand dunes and the lovely clouds gave a great photo opportunity for Theme of day 5- sharp.
A Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) certification course was held at Fort Buchanan, June 15-26, as part of the U.S. Army's qualification requirements for sexual assault response coordinators and victim advocates by the 1st Mission Support Command (1st MSC), U.S. Army Reserve-Puerto Rico.
Oleta was the daughter of Charles William Wylde and Dora May Misener. She was born in 1919, in Arkansas, and died in 2005. She and husband Tom Sharp are buried in the Edinbourgh, Missouri Cemetary, near Trenton, in Grundy, County.
