Conowingo Dam, MD - The two Cormorants popped up from under the water and were fighting over the fish. A Bald Eagle swooped in and the fish got away.
My daughter and one of our dogs, perched up on an ottoman on a rainy day, sharing a snack.

HFF! A cyclist on his own bike rides past a bike share station. Ahead there is no public access to the beach, but i walked a block west and discovered the Sand Beach Road Parkette where I took the photo posted yesterday.

With four eaglets in the nest its survival of the fittest. All four eaglets survived and as late July/early August all four could be seen around the nest.
I like how the green from the leaves are reflecting on the Eagles feathers.
Three street children were sharing a bottle of cold drinks in a summer morning in the streets of Kolkata , West bengal .
They ended up doing a "lady & the tramp" thing. I have a photo of it, but it's pretty crap :P No sun + rain + moving bunnies = crap photos. Boo.

A closeup of new growth at the center of a Sago Palm. These new fronds are only inches long now, but grow quickly to 2 feet or more.
If you like fuzziness, check out the large.

The Eastern Great Egret caught a prawn, and was fleeing a cormorant who was keen to share. At about this point he realised I was there and didn't want to share with me either :)
Baby raccoon tries to take food from its mother's mouth. I don't know what they were eating, they were digging at the edges of the lawn and eating round brown things. The mother has some kind of inflammation in her eye which makes it look red. Salmon Creek, Washington
I thought I would share this photo taken by my daughter of her beautiful Australian Blue (Red....think Chilli and Bingo)* deaf Australian Cattle Dog Bella getting her present from us on her 7th birthday. Of course the wrapping didn't last long. * Chilli and Bingo appear on the cartoon series "Bluey".
When the sheep pick on sweet lil' Hildegard, she hides inside her clubhouse. I put a pumpkin nearby for her to enjoy, and Cleo came over to snack with her. We have a big pile of pumpkins at the farm that I've gathered or were donated to give to the animals as healthy treats.
Little one hunched at supper alone, lone
plate, cold table, unquiet silence. Orphan to lust and selfishness, shunned
despairing, forgotten.
Sad-eyed, someone watches,
speaks to your heart: "You are not alone,
for I am with you always." Then asks,
"Have you anything here to eat?"
Best seen in Large. Thanks.
Hand held, taken on the spot. Insects were approached gently, with care.
