Dalmatian Pelican, Lake Kerkhini, Greece by Rosamund Macfarlane
Shared Sky connects indigenous artists working in remote communities from either side of the Indian Ocean that have ancient cultural connections to the two sites where the SKA will be located.
Being located on similar latitudes on both continents, the two sites in Australia and South Africa present essentially identical views of the night sky to the peoples that have lived there for tens of thousands of years, and to whom some of the oldest known artwork on earth can be attributed. Shared Sky reflects the SKA’s One Sky concept – that no borders exist in the sky and that the night sky is an increasingly scarce natural resource that belongs to and is shared by all humanity.
Why did the Canada Geese family cross the road?
Actually they were looking for a quiet spot to rest, closer to the lake before supper.
Sharing water activities on the lake between humans and animals. While some have fun, others feed. Not the same needs!
Partage d'activités aquatiques sur le lac entre les humains et les animaux. Pendant que les uns s'amusent, les autres se nourrissent. Pas les mêmes besoins !
I found this Common buckeye (Junonia coenia) and an American snout (Libytheana carinenta) butterflies on one Rattlesnake master (Eryngium yuccifolium) blossom. There's also two tiny black bees but who's counting. Again, the height of this blossom makes macros so much easier.
Happy Caturday my Flickr friends 😺😸😹😻😼😽

Ms. Monnie turned 4 yesterday & her Dad, my son's [Sincere] birthday is today December 3rd, they have a cruel joke going as his dad's birthday is tomorrow, he was born the day before his Dad & Ms. Monnie was born the day before him, lol.
.
The hummers didn't seem to mind me being near them in the yard. There were quite a few, so I went back inside and grabbed the camera. These three eventually settled down and shared the feeder.
Happy Monochrome Bokeh Thursday!
