As you can see, butterflies are not the only ones that love the sweet nectar of the beautiful milkweed. But it's not always in perfect harmony, while I was photographing them the bees were trying their best to dissuade the Monachs from their meal. The monarchs just fluttered along since there was plenty to choose from.

In the Risiera di San Sabba concentration camp people of various nationalities were murdered: Italians, Slovenians and Jews. However shared memories of the tragedy were possible only long after the war. Relations between Slovenia and Italy were normalized after gaining the independence by the Republic of Slovenia.
