Cheers to all. Happy Holidays.

In a neighbouring tree, this pair were together and you can see the food morsel being passed between each other. A courting ritual where the male offers food to the female and it could get passed between them multiple times until the female accepts the offering and it establishes the pair bonding.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

Friends made me a card and I wanted to share the joy.

Peace on Earth and goodwill to all 🙏

In the opposite direction you can find the famous Diamond Beach, where you can see (and photograph) ice blocks on black sand. Almost everybody took their images of the ice blocks, but for me the other direction worked best.

I have seen four ring-necked parakeets clinging onto this feeder all feeding away peacefully, but quite often there's a lot of pushing, shoving, squawking and flapping to access the best position. On this occasion, the three in the photo were behaving perfectly.

The Detroit River is the border between Canada and the United States. One side is the Canadian city of Windsor and on the other side is Detroit, also known as the ‘Motor City’ (Motown). Windsor and Detroit share a lot and one thing the people on the Windsor side enjoy is the view of Detroit’s skyline. Prominent on that skyline is the Renaissance Centre the world headquarters of General Motors
