Only twice a year does this happen, the sun rising right down the middle of the Detroit River, which is the international boundary between the United States and Canada. This view is looking upstream with Detroit’s Renaissance Center on the left, and Windsor’s riverfront on the right. Another example of how our two countries share, and have many things in common.
Bee and tiny Mint Moth on Rudbeckia. The moth is about half the size of my little finger nail. Taken in my garden.

High on the hills above the south coast of Wellington, New Zealand. The West Wind wind farm with 62 turbines shares the hills with sheep on the 13,000 acre Terawhiti Sheep Station. The wind farm generates enough electricity to power the equivalent of 73,000 homes.
It was a gray day and the light was waning, but I was still able to get a shot of these to gull buddies sharing some prime real estate :)

Lots of rain so many of the fields are flooded.
Nice of these geese and sandhill cranes to share the space!
The cranes were preening, hence the nicely fluffed up feathers.

I'm not much of an architectural photographer but I am really drawn to this building. I loved that the building was sharing the sky with the moon, the ducks and a plane.
She didn't like my being close but it was 2 for 1 at the bar (Happy Hour), so she said, "As long as you're paying, I'm staying"-gee, what a deal!

A violet sabrewing and a green-crowned brilliant hummingbird feeding together at the feeder. Usually they were fighting but here they shared nicely :-).
