I have known my wife for 18 years, and soon we will be married for 17 years, but this is the first time that we have shared so much time and space together with a "stranger".
Being together almost 24 hours a day, talking, eating, and doing everything together is like going on a space trip with just the two of us. Even when I was depressed and withdrawn at home, my wife worked outside, and I was never alone with my mother when I was a child. I spent a lot of time with my grandmother and cousins, my father would come home in the evening, and my sister was always there.
We've been working from home for a month now, and I think we've been able to get along without any fights, but there's always a sense of uncertainty in my heart. Perhaps my wife does, too. Also, I wonder if I'm having a different and more valuable experience when I'm there with my kids.

Assam and Bonkers (at the time, our two oldest cats) sharing the warmth from the heater in the kitchen in Yubari in March of 2017. As Assam got closer to the close of her life, she tolerated the other cats a bit more (most likely due to less energy rather than a change of heart on her part).
A southbound Acela train crosses the Saugatuck Railroad Bridge in Westport, CT. The bridge features a pedestrian walkway, making it a shared corridor in a more unique way. There was also a group of teenagers who used the walkway to jump into the Saugatuck River below! The Metro-North Railroad employees who came out to fix a catenary problem didn't have any issue with the bridge jumping, until one of the teens tried to ascend the catenary bridge for a better jump.
If you look closely you can just make out the sign. In the South it is not wise to stand too long near kudzu. You may never be seen again!

Met up with the lovely Sarah Lewis recently after not seeing her for a few years. It was great to see her and of course we had to have a picture.

Our Candle Lights
A poem by Peter S. Quinn
Our candle lights are burning
In its ever glowing out
Thru day and dims learning
What brightness is about
A gentle feeling to tender
Within the heart's deep
And to its love surrender
For days and years to keep
This light's like a morning
That passes here thru
Without any forward warning
It just is all true
In its on flickers yearning
That gives its renew
Our candlelight that’s burning
In its hour and venue
Our moments are always going
In the steady time on
Like light of candles glowing
Till all of it is gone
A day and night is lighter
With its turning flame
And futures tomorrow brighter
It never stays the same
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

I used their favorite food, grain pellets, to lure the goats onto a new climbing structure. Julianne was the first to climb up the ramp, while Peppers stood up on his back feet to eat the ones he could reach.
