It’s the shapes in this shot followed by the structured silver handle that add interest to this tomato and watermelon dish. Doesn’t sound appetizing but it was mouth watering! I’ve noticed as the chef’s progress in their knowledge of food and flavors you get increasingly interesting combinations of ingredients, textures and flavors.

Shape is a flat, enclosed area of an artwork created through line, texture, colour or an area enclosed by other shapes. A form can refer to a three-dimensional composition or object within a three-dimensional composition. Shape is the principal element of identification. The most important thing to keep in mind when shape is the essential element in an image is that it is best defined when the subject is frontlit or backlit. For that shape to be successfully identifiable, it needs to be in strong contrast with its surroundings so that it is detached from the clutter around it. Form is is best accentuated by side lighting since it casts soft elegant shadows, and the difference between light and shadows gives a better illustration of the depth of an object and amplifies the sensual understanding of its meaning and message. There are different shapes and forms in this picture such as the branches of the tree has a form and the lake has another.

"Bowl with Beaded Rim" on view at the Cleveland Museum of ART in Gallery 104, is a nice work of metalwork from Byzantium, Syria. Dating to the early Byzantium period, 4th-5th century. According to the Cleveland Museum of Art "This bowl is decorated with a beaded rim, a feature often found on domestic silver bowls of this period. The basic shape was formed first by hammering. Then the bowl was polished and chased while it turned on a lathe. The beaded decoration was achieved by hammering the silver into a mold."

The dimension of the bowl are 10.4 x 27.8 x 10.5 cm (4 1/8 x 10 15/16 x 4 1/8 in.) overall.

The bowl was a purchase from the J. H. Wade Fund 1954.259. The image is in the Public Domain and can be seen at the museum's website.

Blend shapes lined up for our main character, Jonas.

All the heads on the right are blend shapes are used to make all of Jonas' different facial expressions. Each head contains one expression, like "Left Eyebrow Up," or "Smile Small." Then, when I'm animating, I can use sliders to mix them together so that our target head will be smiling with his left eyebrow up.

Jonas is our main character. He's a workaholic over-achiever who discovers, to his horror, that Nirvana is not located at the top of the corporate ladder.
