DO NOT USE MY PHOTOS FOR ANY REASON WITHOUT MY PERMISSION

36/52 Shapes: The thing I love most about being part of this 52 week challenge (aside from admiring the talent) is the way it prompts me to look at things in a much different way. As I was running late getting out the door this morning, my son told me I had to see the most amazing thing. He brought me to this very large spider web that was gently covered in morning dew. At that moment, as I stared at this amazing creation, I knew it was this intricate webbing of shapes woven together would be my image for this weeks assignment. I know my shot falls short of truly capturing the detail of this web, but I'm glad I took the time to appreciate the hard work that went into its creation.

1. Shape, the rings from the monitor make the circular pattern.

2. The monitor. I was under it and looked up and saw the pattern and took the shot.

3. The shadows that form from the layers of metal make the rings stand out much more making for a better shot.

4. I would try to get directly under the monitor and get a shot right in the middle. I am a little bit angled and I think it would have been better directly on.

1. The element that this image investigates is shape. The baseball diamond is two dimensional which makes this image apart of the element of shape.

2. The subject matter of this photograph is the baseball diamond since it is the main object.

The second most fundamental element of design is shape, because shape is the principal element of identification. The most important thing to keep in mind when shape is the essential element in an image is that it is best defined when the subject is frontlit or backlit. For that shape to be successfully identifiable, it needs to be in strong contrast with its surroundings so that it is detached from the clutter around it

Students took photos inside and outside of the school that showed shape as the main focus.
