"Wandering Rocks" by artist Tony Smith in Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park.

The shapes bring to mind the five perfect solids of Pythagoras. (Though they do not actually meet the mathematical criteria).

Pity that it had to be folded for transport, would have liked to keep it untarnished.

All lines by hand, that's why some of them are kinda wonky...

1) This photo investigates shape and is reflected by the three dimensional shape of the clothespins.

2) The subject matter are clothespins, I approached my subject by making sure they were against a simple background so that nothing could distract the viewer from looking at the shape of the clothespins

3) I like the one blue clothespin in the mix of mostly brown.

4) I could improve this photo by zooming in closer so that the viewer can take in the entire shape of the subject.

Best Bags Shopping in Chennai

Best Bags Shopping in Chennai A woman’s handbag is an integral part of her outfit. A handbag is more than just a sack to carry essentials. It’s a fashion statement, a way to express her style and creativity. Handbags come in many shapes, sizes, colors, prices and labels. Satchel bags are large bags used for casual occasions. The bag part is a big loose sack connected to a long strap. The strap is usually worn on the shoulder and crossed over the body so the bag rests on the opposite hip. Women usually wear satchel bags, but it’s also acceptable for men to wear them. A bucket bag is exactly what the name sounds like.

The bag part is in the form of a bucket, with a little less cylindrical shape. It’s usually attached to a shoulder strap but can also be attached to a hand strap. The top part is left open or secured by a zipper. Barrel bags are long cylindrical bags. They have a lot of room inside. Barrel bags usually have long straps so that the bag comes down to the stomach. Hobo bags are oval in shape, with a zipper on the top. Small straps are connected to both ends so your shoulder can go through them. This bag usually has many compartments on the inside and a large storage area.

Tote bags are perfect for running errands and for going to the beach or pool. They’re large squarish bags with small to medium straps. They usually do not have a zipper. Tote bags are usually made from a very durable fabric to resist water and sand.

Shape is a flat, enclosed area of an artwork created through line, texture, colour or an area enclosed by other shapes. A form can refer to a three-dimensional composition or object within a three-dimensional composition. Shape is the principal element of identification. The most important thing to keep in mind when shape is the essential element in an image is that it is best defined when the subject is frontlit or backlit. For that shape to be successfully identifiable, it needs to be in strong contrast with its surroundings so that it is detached from the clutter around it. Form is is best accentuated by side lighting since it casts soft elegant shadows, and the difference between light and shadows gives a better illustration of the depth of an object and amplifies the sensual understanding of its meaning and message. There are different shapes and forms in this picture such as the branches of the tree has a form and the lake has another.
