This photo is about shape, I use the contrast of light and shadow in this photo, highlight the shape of girls.
One thing I like about this photo is that the reflection of the logs makes a cool shape. One thing I dislike is the lighting, sun was directly above made weird shadows. If I could change one thing it would be the time of day I took the picture to fix the weird shadows.
Instructor Kate Oggel demonstrates part of the process of transferring the mosaic design to a board for the grouting process.
1. Shape is seen in the spherical bean.
2. The subject matter of the photo is the bean and the buildings seen in the reflection.
3. The angle of photograph is what makes the photograph more appealing since it shows the whole been and the view in the reflection.
4. If I could shoot it again I would focus on the top half of the photo.
I liked the shapes I saw as the sun was setting. Probably would re-shoot this if I had an opportunity.
This is a picture of a grate underneath a staircase by the auditorium at Richview.
The image showcases a few elements, but I chose it for shape because of the repetition of squares the image has, which is a huge factor in the appeal of the photo because of the movement it provides.
If I shot this image again, I would try it in different lighting (not cloudy) to get the texture of the metal to pop, or back away from the grate to get more movement from the squares on the side.
This photo may also appear on nist6ss's account the reason being I have used that account in the past.
I am very lucky to have such a loving husband and family. Mostly I think this year has made us stronger, as we've had to work together to overcome all the things thrown at us.
Fossils found by Kari Gibson during our fossil hunt just south of Crail.
Though they were trilobite in shape but suspect they are either spore bearing cones from the Ledipodendrons or possibly the giant centipede Arthropleura. However they are only approximately 1 cm wide and with so many and the roots of lepidodendrons present they are probably cones.
