My picture shows the element of shape by the different defined sides of the snowflake. The snowflake is geometric because of the different angles and lines throughout it. To take this picture, I got my mom's macro lense and went outside, put a sock in the snow, put it on a higher surface, and take pictures. Except with the specific macro lense we have, I wasn't able to successfully take a snowflake picture. Someone loaned me there macro extension tubes and I went home and took pictures. But this time, I was able to take successful pictures. To edit this picture I had to brighten the photo, and sharpen it, so that the edges were more defined. The strengths of my photo would probably have to be the amount of time and effort I put into taking it, and that I was able to actually capture a snowflake. The weaknesses of this photo would be the green in the background, and the right of the snowflake is blurry.

I love working with the osage orange logs. I take the bark off and do some shaping with a drawknife. I reach for a spoon gouge and spoke shave next.

A pedestrian square in Zurich.

Info from a Swiss newspaper: "The modern fountain is the eye-catcher of the square. The Zurich architects Romero and Schaefle designed it, costing a good half a million francs, the most striking feature of which is a finely curved inflow of bronze. At times, wine flows from the fountain".

I am intrigued by this wine flow event.

Was having some fun with my camera. I decided to dress Natalia in "Fine Romance" and sat her on Tony Montana's throne.

Orbital design

Design created using custom shapes from graphicxtras.com (c) 2010 Andrew Buckle

1. Shape is seen in the spherical bean.

2. The subject matter of the photo is the bean and the buildings seen in the reflection.

3. The angle of photograph is what makes the photograph more appealing since it shows the whole been and the view in the reflection.

4. If I could shoot it again I would focus on the top half of the photo.

Misty shapes of shore, ships and island scattered across the open sea.

This is a picture of a grate underneath a staircase by the auditorium at Richview.

The image showcases a few elements, but I chose it for shape because of the repetition of squares the image has, which is a huge factor in the appeal of the photo because of the movement it provides.

If I shot this image again, I would try it in different lighting (not cloudy) to get the texture of the metal to pop, or back away from the grate to get more movement from the squares on the side.
