A pedestrian square in Zurich.
Info from a Swiss newspaper: "The modern fountain is the eye-catcher of the square. The Zurich architects Romero and Schaefle designed it, costing a good half a million francs, the most striking feature of which is a finely curved inflow of bronze. At times, wine flows from the fountain".
I am intrigued by this wine flow event.

My hubby, sporting some construction paper glasses, and daughter shaping a ball of clay into a cup. It looks like Daddy is doing most of the work.

I think my picture demonstrates the project goal of shape well. This picture uses natural shapes, in this case the shoulder and bicep muscles. They both create their own individual shapes and well as an interesting shadow. The shoulder sloping down creates a shadow beneath itself and on the bicep. I took this picture when my brother came home from college for the weekend, he was working on his motorcycle and I noticed the way his muscles stood out and moved making interesting shapes as he worked. I then asked him if I could try taking pictures, this was slightly harder than I thought due to the fact of his staggering height and to get the angles I wanted I had to get close with the right lighting. So I proceeded taking several pictures before deciding this one showed both muscles creating unique shapes. I edited this picture by converting it to black and white and increasing the contrast. I also increased this clarity so the definition of the muscles would be finer. I think I did a good job with this photo and I like how the shapes in it are natural and how the photo is a simple shot. I don’t think I would change it.
1. Shape is seen in the spherical bean.
2. The subject matter of the photo is the bean and the buildings seen in the reflection.
3. The angle of photograph is what makes the photograph more appealing since it shows the whole been and the view in the reflection.
4. If I could shoot it again I would focus on the top half of the photo.
This is a picture of a grate underneath a staircase by the auditorium at Richview.
The image showcases a few elements, but I chose it for shape because of the repetition of squares the image has, which is a huge factor in the appeal of the photo because of the movement it provides.
If I shot this image again, I would try it in different lighting (not cloudy) to get the texture of the metal to pop, or back away from the grate to get more movement from the squares on the side.
This photo may also appear on nist6ss's account the reason being I have used that account in the past.
Day after day we shaped this clay to make the frogman. Day after day we kept jamming our selfs with rocks and plaster and whatever garbage was in the clay. Then after some days we stopped with the clay and just looked at it. A little bit here, cut off something there...
