I made this work for my Foundation Design and Introduction to Shape & Form course in Bezalel.
The task was creating a new shape and combining it 3 times in order to make another new shape.
Here you can see the 16 final shapes that I chose. I made this project with Illustrator CS5.

It was stated that the EMP’s inspiration came in part from a film Gehry and his staff viewed of Jimi Hendrix smashing an electric guitar during a performance. According to Gehry, the real inspiration for the project is a pile of trash he saw from an electric guitar shop near his office in Santa Monica. Guitars were cut apart and played with until Gehry found the shape he was looking for.

Granite boulders at the water's edge. The large one on the left is about six feet tall.
These were left behind when the last ice age retreated, around 10,000 years ago, after having been worn smooth by the grinding and pummeling action of the ice sheet's movements.
Taken in 1981, at City Point, Vinalhaven, Maine, scanned in from the Kodachrome slide.
To make this Shape in Photoshop do this:
To make this shape, make a 5 inch high, 7 inch wide rectangle on a transparent background.
Click your Pen tool in the lower left corner.
Now position your Pen Tool on the 3.5 inch mark about 1/3rd up from the bottom.
Hold the Shift key and drag it to the right side
Now click the Pen Tool in the top right corner. This should give you a smooth curved line from bottom left to top right.
Now put the Pen Tool at 3.5 inches about 1/3rd down from the top, hold down the Shift key and drag to the left side.
Now click in the lower left corner.
There is your figure. To make it a selection, right click on it and click the Make a Selection.
Now that it is a Selection put a color into it and you are ready to use it on your 3D.
Doesn’t this make you wonder why you don’t use the Pen Tool all the time?
What does music look like? The Shape of Song is an attempt to answer this seemingly paradoxical question. The custom software in this work draws musical patterns in the form of translucent arches, allowing viewers to see--literally--the shape of any composition available on the Web. The resulting images reflect the full range of musical forms, from the deep structure of Bach to the crystalline beauty of Philip Glass.

This is my submission for our weekly assignment called Water.
This is a flower from my garden in a glass of water.
My wife made this setup to take some photos, I literally stole this shot from her :P
This was shot in sunlight with picture setting set to Vivid. I used my 105mm macro lens for this shot.
