After carving the basic shapes, i then cut holes for wheel wells and cleaned them up later when ganaching. I used 'cake pop' mix to create the flared gurd on the rear and very slight on the front. I couldnt believe how much mess i made with this one!
The theme today is Shape, but I felt a bit of colour was called for to help break the winter doldrums.
Show with the nifty 50 and a 21mm extension tube.

Louisa Harding Amitola is splitty, but, the fabric is delightful--80% wool/20% silk. Handle with care while it's damp if you don't want it to stretch/grow uncontrollably. In this case, I want it so. It's fun to shape OOAK wingspan. It hard-blocked to 70" by 15" (deepest span)

Frieda Shape
Frieda has been on meds since a very young age. The true ADHD child that refuses to grow up and lives in her own little bubble. A happy-go-lucky attitude and not a care in the world make Frieda the most unique person to know. She lives at home with her single father and he lets her be herself, always telling her "You can be anything you want to be! My darling Frieda!" - so this week, Frieda is a fairy.
What can you do with the Frieda shape?

My favourite shadow picture. Taken at the time of day when the sun is directly overhead. Usually, a horrible time to take picture because all details get bleached out. I found a cafe with a shade made of canvas squares , all joined at the corners, The light and shade was fantastic! I loved how the pattern created looked like it was painted on the floor, wall and furniture.
I couldn't have got this effect at any other time than when the sun was at its highest.
I don't really like the framing of the shot. When I took it I was concentrating too much on the pattern and forgot about the furniture. I took a shot that had too much floor in the middle so they eye doesn't really have anywhere to rest.
Gosh, I haven't even mentioned "exposure" or "white balance". Was B&W an easy option or a cliche? Give me ways it could be improved. . There are lots of ideas thatI could make this shot even better, what do you suggest?

This picture meets the project goals because it uses shape to enhance the photo. Shape is shown in many places. There is the edge of his face, the background, the shadow lines on his face, and his facial features. I asked my brother to sit against a black background so I could take this picture. In Photoshop, I changed it to black and white, darkened the exposure, shadows, and blacks, and neatened the backgrounds. Something I like about this photo is the contrast in brightness between the front of his face and the back of his head. Something I do not like about this picture is the fuzziness of the colors as they transition from white to black. I also wish I would have had a little lighter background, so his face would not have been so dark around his chin.
These tree shapes were taken along the coast at the mouth of the Ngunguru River towards Tututaka, Northland, NZ.

Water’s power to shape a landscape is spectacularly displayed at Bourke’s Luck Potholes in Mpumalanga, where centuries of river activity have carved out a dramatic and intricate series of natural rock formations and pools.
Bourke’s Luck Potholes in Mpumalanga province are a series of natural geological formations that seem nearer to art than nature. Formed by centuries of water flowing through the landscape, this natural attraction is made up of inter-connected pools, interlaced with sandstone outcrops.
The potholes occur where the Treur River joins the Blyde River at the start of the Blyde River Canyon. In a continuing and centuries-old spectacle, the force of the water in these two rivers, combined with the particles of sand and rock that the rivers' transport, wears cylindrical potholes into the sandstone bedrock.
Over time, some of these potholes merge and new ones form, creating an intricate landscape of deep depressions and outcrops of resistant rock.
