Shape 2019 - certificate presentation and launch

Launch of Shape 2019 at the Powerhouse Museum

So, I never understood how to use the Pen Tool in Photoshop...until I decided to make vector art out of one of my photos. Some 90 layers later, this is the result... I don't think it's too bad for my first time! I used the tutorial in Issue Fifty-Two of Photoshop Creative.

Sandy is wearing the upcoming Shapes top (#4) that is a flattering asymmetric top that gets it's shape from the grain it is cut on. The lady to her right is wearing a Plus One Tunic done in rayon jersey with the seams to the right side and color blocked.

Me and my partner lived out in the forest by a beautiful river, big landmark and a lot of nature... You wake up to the tropical birds singing and falling asleep with the milky way as clear as it could possibly get.

This week for my shape assignment I photographed a tree at the golden hour. The principle of design I used was contrast with hints of balance. I took this photo by lining up the tree with the sun and for editing I cropped the photo and removed a cloud. I used shape well to create the contrast between the sky.
