Here Seti I (Menmaatre) pours libations to Amun-Re in 2 of his forms. This scene intrigues me because of the T-shaped trough in the second scene. Part of my MA thesis was the meaning behind this T-shape, but it's use in the design of tombs. I must admit it's still a mystery with lots of possibilities. : 01.23.08
Platyceras dumosum Conrad, 1840 - cross-section of a fossil gastropod in limestone from the Devonian of Ohio, USA.
The gastropods (snails & slugs) are a group of molluscs that occupy marine, freshwater, and terrestrial environments. Most gastropods have a calcareous external shell (the snails). Some lack a shell completely, or have reduced internal shells (the slugs & sea slugs & pteropods). Most members of the Gastropoda are marine. Most marine snails are herbivores (algae grazers) or predators/carnivores.
The fossil in limestone seen here is a spinose platycerid, a famous Paleozoic group of gastropods that were coprophagous on crinoids. Platycerid shell shapes conformed to the shapes of anal pyramids on crinoid crowns.
Classification: Animalia, Mollusca, Gastropoda, Archaeogastropoda, Trochina, Platyceratidae
Stratigraphy: Columbus Limestone, Eifelian Stage, lower Middle Devonian
Locality: roadcut along the southern side of Emerald Parkway, immediately east of the Rt. 257 intersection, Dublin, northwestern Franklin County, central Ohio, USA (40° 06' 34.79" North latitude; 83° 06' 35.73" West longitude)

NY Life Insurance Building NYC BW - Twilight view to the headquaters of the NY lIfe Insurance Building. It is located across from Madison Square Park in lower Manhattan in New York City. The Gothic Revival architecture style gold pyramid shape roof top building, was designed in 1926 by architect Cass Gilbert which also designed the Woolworth Building in NY. Maternity Shapewear
Being in a Blue Funk from a creative perspective means that I'll take just about anything and any idea that comes my way. And when in Spain, Barcelona to be more specific, what's there not to like about "found objects" and their shapes under the Mediterranean sun? I realize that everyone and their dog has taken images of these very same things, yet I found myself moved by the Pictorialists and hoped to try my hand at it all.
