Compositionally Challenged
The Brief 4. Shape:
Capture the geometric shapes of street signs, traffic lights, or the rounded corners of a building, highlighting their distinct outlines.
This building was somewhere in London, possibly near London Bridge Station.
i've been trying to build in some contemporary aspects to the 'romantic' Scottish painters of the past. I love their use of light more than anything and wondered how it could be used in a more minimalistic composition.

clouds in sunset altocumulous or cirrocumulous
This week at sunset for a few days running massive clouds were lit up in colours and shapes that changed rapidly for a period at sunset. I just went in the backyard and took pictures.
There was two layers at least of clouds. Top slow moving and lower ones which were the yellow ones rapidly moving and making shapes.
I have been looking out for great skies since then but recently not seen too many as magnificent as I saw in this timeframe when I took this.
Pale brown mannequin head in a store window, with a futuristic inset v shape somewhat alien like instead of the usual facial features. The light is coming from the left side, making the right one shaded. Also on the left side there is another dummy head with dark brown hair.
I was inspired by one of my children's drawing books. I drew this first in pencil then traced over with black gel pen. I used Prisma pencils and Gamsol for the coloring. The birds are HA 4749-4752 Decorative Bird set. Added stitching, grommets, string, and straw. Popped out the birds, tongue of shoe, porch roof, and chimney top.
