Wood Duck (Aix Sposa)
We've (thankfully) had nothing but rain here in the Tampa area for the last two weeks, so I've felt a little duck-like lately :)

Black-headed gull (Chroicocephalus ridibundus) shaking off water after a bath.
Śmieszka (Chroicocaphalus ridibundus) otrzepująca wodę po kąpieli.
Bald eagles in action talon to talon. It was a bit off in the distance in tough light, but I liked the pose in the air and the conversion to B&W.
From Karen Carpenter to Taylor Swift. I'm not sure I should have this amazing singer in the same sentence as the other person, (note I didn't say singer :o) I'll let you decide which one is which 😉
This Gull was flying straight towards me, and even though they must get used to being wet, I have never seen a Herring Gull shake off excess water in mid flight !!! Terns, Osprey, yes, but never a Gull !!
Some people may smile at you and shake your hand while their hearts are as dark as Erebus, as Shakespeare says in the Merchant of Venice:
"The man that hath no music in himself, Nor is not moved with concord of sweet sounds, Is fit for treasons, stratagems, and spoils; The motions of his spirit are dull as night, And his affections dark as Erebus. Let no such man be trusted."
So, do not be fooled by hand shakes and big smiles. How people deal with each other is the criteria here.

A new bear on the scene this year that looks very much like George perhaps George senior or maybe his mother? This bear was almost twice the size of George and didn’t seem to have any issues with him at the fishing hole, however George didn’t not relinquish the area without a fight...well more of a spat. Video coming soon.

3rd August 2019- David of Manchester based 'Bones Shake' brought "A scuzzed fuzzed blues" vibe to Jimmy's in Liverpool. These lads were first on by virtue of the least social media 'Likes' (a strange stipulation in my eyes, but then, i'm 48..) but they manged to captivate an early audience. Starting your set by casually wandering through the crowd with a megaphone blarring an American Police siren generally tends to grab peoples attention!!
