This egret just missed its catch, and created a pattern of drops in shaking dry. I like that this shot shows both eyes from below!

The Flame-rumped Tanager occurs from western Panama south through Colombia to western Ecuador. This is a sociable bird, being typically found in monospecific flocks, which inhabit shrubby semi-open areas.

American Kestrel
This was taken on a wonderful photographic day at "Liberty's Owl, Raptor and Reptile Centre" in Ringwood Hampshire.
I was with a great bunch of people and again had Miles on hand to give advice.
I have not had the chance to get out with the camera much recently so these two fabulous days were a real lift.
Still winter. So what else can I do than shake it on.

I have been a fan of Jamiroquai for a long time and the youtube video is from his gig in Finland, at the Pori Jazz Festival in July 2017. I was there that night. The song is not Shake it on, it`s Supersonic. I miss those times when there was no pandemic or other major threats. I hope to be able to participate at Pori Jazz again next summer.

This one had just come off nesting duties, both parents incubate the eggs, and had a bath, preen and shake.
