This series is from an 18 April 2020 visit to a small stream valley near my home outside Marietta Ohio. With leaves on the trees just beginning to emerge the sunny side of this sheltered valley was paved with a carpet of wild flowers. So here are some portraits of some of the beauties I saw as well as some low angle landscapes to try and capture the look and feel of spring unfolding in this beautiful little valley

My shade garden in the front, taken on Saturday, July 21, in the morning. It was a beautiful, cool morning. This is an area of my yard with a lot of trees, and it was impossible to grow grass here. We just put in a lot of hostas and other shade plants, and the paths follow the natural path through the trees. One of my favorite spots in my yard.
