Valencia Streetscape project "included the replacement and addition of 76,000 square feet of sidewalk and the installation of pedestrian bulbouts to provide traffic calming, facilitate street crossing and add space for gathering.

 

Additional improvements included the planting of 106 Brisbane Box and London Plane trees along the sidewalks, new trash receptacles, 69 bike racks, 32 wheel chair accessible curb ramps, 26 roadway scale lights and 46 pedestrian scale lights.

 

Four Victorian-themed street posts, uniquely designed for Valencia Street and through the San Francisco Arts Commission, were also installed at particular locations. Public art called Valencia Street Post was installed by artist Michael Arcega."

Ed is appointed mayor (not sure if that was voluntary) Tony is a retired administrator (not former supervisor Gavin gave a job at Treasure Island so he could appoint the more simpatico Sean & appoint Ann Marie to a job she was completely unqualified for)

Mayor Gavin Newsom today broke ground on a new community garden in a vacant lot owned by the City and County of San Francisco, located at McAllister and Larkin streets. The food grown at the garden will go to volunteers who help care for it.
