The Koreshan Unity Settlement, near Naples Florida is an abandoned 19th century religious community.
The Koreshan Unity was a self-sufficient communal utopia formed by Cyrus Teed, a distant relative of Joseph Smith, founder of the Latter Day Saint movement. The Koreshans followed Teed's beliefs, called Koreshanity, and he was regarded by his adherents as "the new Messiah now in the World". After moving from New York to Illinois, the group eventually settled in Estero, Florida.
They grew fruit & veg, raised cattle, cut lumber and generated electricity on the site, which at it's height housed more than 200 people. Unfortunately their adherence to a life of celibacy automatically doomed them to extinction. The last person to officially admit membership to the Koreshans died in 1982. In 1962 the remaining Koreshans handed over their land and buildings to the State of Florida for preservation as a State Park.

The Riasc Monastic Settlement is well known for its collection of standing stones. This one is known as the Riasc Stone, and is decorated with an encircled Greek cross as well as spiral and floral carvings. It stands 1.64 metres high, and .6 metres wide. It was carved in the 7th century.
