A postcard like view of a small settlement in Prince Christian Sound in southern Greenland on a beautiful mid-summer day.
A land view of the Greenland settlement of Itivdleq (population - 89), located on an island just 2 km north of the Arctic Circle in Davis Strait.
Being part of the ecosystem,
connected with nature,
admiring that great power.
Thanks so much for all, have a nice day :D

The volcanoes of Iceland include a high concentration of active ones due to Iceland's location on the mid-Atlantic Ridge, a divergent tectonic plate boundary, and its location over a hot spot. The island has 30 active volcanic systems, of which 13 have erupted since the settlement of Iceland in AD 87

** More roof top’s this time though its a small village in Provence that sits in the Alpilles mountains
Les Baux-de-Provence is a settlement in the Bouches-du-Rhône department in Provence . The village is considered one of the most beautiful in France .It is located in the Alpilles mountains, atop a rocky outcrop that is crowned with a ruined castle overlooking the plains to the south. Its name refers to its site: in Provençal, bauç is a rocky spur. From the village name the word bauxite was coined for aluminium ore when first discovered there by geologist Pierre Berthier in 1821.
Although it is not high the Alpilles range stands out impressively, as it rises abruptly from the Rhône valley and from the very flat alluvial plain of Crau. The range is about 25 km long by about 8 to 10 km wide, running in an east-west direction between the Rhône and Durance rivers. The landscape of the Alpilles is one of arid limestone peaks separated by dry valleys.

A lazy stroll along the narrow path on the cliff. Time to change my pace a little I guess.

This beautiful beach is at Nelson Bay. A tiny shack settlement with a permanent registered population of four. That's right, four. If you want off-grid living, this is the place to be. And far enough from the rest of the world to be able to not give a care either. In this part of the world, the Tasmanian east coast is a foreign country.
In the traditional and hunting settlement of Kullorsuac, Northwest Greenland (above latitude 74 degrees N and pollution of less than 500) the beauty of its surroundings is undeniable.
This is named the altar and around one can see carved old norse runes and newer names or initials
Still some more from the manmade cave, believed to be carved out by celtic munks some time before norse settlement in Iceland

Möðrudalur is a farm settlement in Norður-Múlasýsla in Eastern Iceland, and the highest inhabited place in the country, at 469 m above sea level.
Möðrudalur is a popular tourist destination, and was formerly located on The Ring Road until the road was moved to its current Háreksstaðaleið route to the north of Möðrudalur.
A church was built in Möðrudalur in 1949 by Jón A. Stefánsson. A guesthouse, a small store and a restaurant are operated in the area. Nearby the settlement one finds also the Kunsthalle Tropical.
The lowest temperature ever recorded in Iceland, -38.0 °C (-36.4 °F) was recorded concurrently in Möðrudalur and the neighboring Grímsstaðir on 21 January 1918.
The settlement dates back to Roman times. Under the present name was first mentioned in the 15th century. Now is the capitol of the Republic of Srpska, industrial, culture and administrative center. The city of parks, alleys and green with extraordinary beautiful river Vrbas decorated with Kastel fortress from 4th century. 2nd biggest city in BiH.

I’ve wanted to build a sci-fi city again since I tore down Undiri, but it took me five days to disassemble and sort my Brickworld ships as well as the other pieces that I brought with me. That’s FIVE days, my fellow FOLs. I’m sure some have taken more time, but it’s the most I’ve ever had to devote to sorting, and as soon as I was done, I swore off LEGO forever…or about ten minutes, whichever came first.
I went after the city in the same night that I finished my sorting and decided quickly that I was going to build something that wouldn’t take the better part of a week to disassemble, while sacrificing as little in the way of form and detail as possible. This is my first attempt at mountains, as well as any kind of landscaping. The scale is much smaller than anything I’ve done to date. So there were many firsts for me here. All things considered, I’m actually pretty pleased with the results.

As part of the War Horse walk we did last Saturday, we crossed the amazing Bronze Age settlement of Drizzlecombe. Apart from the round houses and large former village wall there are three large stone rows, each associated with a burial site and a large standing stone. The boys are posing next to the main menhir, which happens to be the tallest in all of Dartmoor (4.3m high)!
The beauty of Saksun, Streymoy (Faroe Islands).
Saksun is a village located near the north-west coast of the Faroese island of Streymoy.
The settlement lies in the bottom of what used to be an inlet of the ocean, surrounded by high mountains. The fjord was a good deep natural harbour, until a storm blocked it with sand. This transformed the old harbour into a unaccesible seawater lagoon named Pollurin.

To counterbalance the lovely blossoming moments of this morning, I'll take you back to an icy sunrise in the mountains. I really need to start posting the pictures I took here, otherwise I'll never get around to it.
To be precise, we're on a rocky plateau near the Schrammsteine.
And in addition to the fantastic view of the still-sleeping landscape of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, the photo also shows us how nature is beginning to conquer such a barren spot (which, of course, takes quite a while under these conditions).
And so, in addition to lichens and mosses, we also find the first heather, a small birch, and an even smaller pine.
It would certainly be interesting to come back here in 50 years to see how this place has developed. However, someone else would have to do that, because at 104, I probably won't be able to make it up here anymore.

Vyšehrad is the oldest seat of Czech princes; in fact, the local settlement was established in the mid-10 th century. Situated on a rocky promontory above the Vltava River, it offers stunning views of the city, and the park area holds hidden architectural treasures including the rare Romanesque Rotunda of St Martin, the neo-Gothic Church of Sts Peter and Paul, the national cemetery Slavín, and the underground casements housing the some of the original Baroque statues from the Charles Bridge.
The Brough of Birsay is an uninhabited tidal island off the north-west coast of The Mainland of Orkney, Scotland, in the parish of Birsay. It is located around 13 miles north of Stromness and features the remains of Pictish and Norse settlements as well as a modern light house. (Source: Wikipedia)

Lëpushë is a settlement in the former Kelmend municipality, Shkodër County, northern Albania. It used to be an upper summer pasture for a lower village, but as the winters became less harsh, this summer pasture was settled with the more hardy of villagers. Today there are 26 homes in this valley. Only 6 of those homes are occupied during the harsh winters. Those are ones who offer lodging for visitors. Being there is a blessed experience. The silence and tranquility are hard to imagine, but very real once there. The winter is harsh and travel to and from can be challenging, particularly the 'last mile', once your leave the highway.
The mountains in the background are the Accursed Mountains or Albanian Alps. Montenegro is on the other side. These rugged mountain peaks roughy define the border between the two countries. During the Communist Era, this border was heavily guarded and patrolled to keep Albanians from escaping the harsh government of the Dictator Hoxhia.
