Put my new hand held boon arm to the test.
A Vivitar 283 flash with a Pocket Wizard taped to it supported by a flash hot shoe sync, not inspiring much confidence in the strength of this setup. I've got an idea for a simple horizontal flash bracket, think I'll hit the hardware store tomorrow?

I wish I could afford to go!
I was trying to set my camera up to take the next photo for the 365 Days group.There was a little hole in the mesh that I got one leg of the gorillapod through. However, it didn't look very secure so I threaded the camera strap through as well for safety. As I couldn't reach through the mesh it is a rare example of the use of the Swiss Army Knife parcel hook.
A little casual conversation helps to settle the nerves as a small group of Joes sets of on a dangerous mission.
Day 5 June 2006 trip
Almost ready to leave, sandy beach is only thing lacking at this camp. Plenty of driftwood to be had on the other side of the island.
Actually by this stage the tents and the tarp are all up. But it shows off the setting of our camp quite nicely. This was our home for a week.

Whilst most plants haven't even flowered yet, the Coltsfoot is already setting seed, the white fluffy seed heads replacing the bright yellow flowers.

Penny was quite the eager helper while we were visiting - she helped my aunt cook dinner and set the table.
Also, my aunt has a GORGEOUS house. I wish I had a third of her decorator sense.
