This "scene" is the result of the contents of Little Globalnomad's Advent Calendar - little piece by little piece she's putting together a Royal Wedding. Tomorrow the prince is crowned and soon he'll have a sword ad a white steed. It helps to focus her excitement somewhat, even if it is totally buying into the whole princess myth, lol (now I'm trying to find a suitable storage container for all these little bits so that I don't end up stabbing my feet on them after Christmas).

I decided to finally ditch my old thinkpad t30 in favor of a much more portable and useful netbook. After reading literally pages and pages of reviews of reviews from everyone and their mother, about the netbook I decided on the asus eeepc 1000HE. Mainly it was the extremely long battery life that got me. Asus advertises 9.5 hrs with wifi and bluetooth off and a slightly underclocked cpu and dimmer screen. However people have gotten around 7 plus hours with that stuff on, with regular use.
So far it's great!
Connect to a car, or headset but not to a computer. That's what cables are for! To Apple's defense, cables are more secure and much, much faster (Bluetooth is about the speed of dial-up when it comes to data transfer…).

I recently made the arduous trip over from the south west to the south east. After the hours of travelling I was surprised to find a big city there. This is the first of a series of shots from my time there.

Built across the marshlands of the Neva River delta, St. Petersburg is interlaces with around a hundred tributaries and canals with a total length of 300 kilometers and over 800 bridges crossing them. In the city centre, St. Petersburg's famous granite embankments are home to many of the city's grandest buildings, and boat trips along the historic rivers and canals are an essential part of any sightseeing itinerary.

The home team has to set everything up. The parents put everything afterwards especially if, as on Saturday, they only had one substitute available. The girls were tired out at the end.
At this level the three substitutes can be swapped into the game as many times as necessary. Especially in the summer this gives all the players a chance to drink and recuperate before rejoining the fray.
