A faux finished wall is complimented with a damask stencil. Antique upholstery nails and rhinestones add to the drama!
This was for my 2nd Year FMP.
Chicago set with a slightly blue hue.
The set was made with plywood. The detailing was made with puffy paint. The detail, with the Palace Theatre's logo, under the proscenium arch was made with card. The curtain was made with a sewing machine.
This is a set I designed and built for the Central Lakes College production of "Noises Off"
The set was built in 4 weeks time using work study students and students who needed lab hours to get credit for their class.
The set pivots on a central point and is supported by about (40) 4" casters.

This set maxed out the stage space available and cleared the back and front walls with only inches to spare.
I recently learned the best way to buy yer quality pornography: bulk packs. The variety contains a surprising representation from around the globe (Belgium's beats out Germany's. FYI).
The set design team needed to have impressive amounts of fake porn videos for a scene in the film so they borrowed a bunch of empty DVD cases, X-acto knifed images from the printed pages to fit inside the clear DVD casing, et voila.
While whiling away the time we made up long meandering tales about Robin (lower left, above). It was agreed that before we'd encourage Robin to consider throwing just a few more pieces of clothing on, her first plan of attack might be to address either the drug or alcohol (or both) problem that has her looking strung out like 40 miles of bad road.
The soundtrack to Amelie and the ticking of my clock collection is about all you will hear in my office! I love clocks of all makes and sizes. The more vintage and worn the better. The diamonds are hand painted and embellished with vintage button tacks.

From Louise Welsh's Memory Cells, performed as part of Glasgay 2009 at the Arches, 20-24 Oct.
Welsh's play explores constriction, sexuality, power and obsession. It unlocks a secret underground world existing on the very fringes of society.

Working [practicing] on creating miniature sets/buildings for a sci-fi film I have in mind; using my new SLA 3D Printer.
This custom rig was made for the centre piece for UK grime artist Skepta. It had CCTV's added to it and was the stage center piece for Skepta's Glastonbury Pyramid stage performance.

Headed out to the timber yard today with Krista and Greg to do some preparation for the build for the play. Laminating seven 4m long pine boards together as the basis for the sculpture that plays an integral part in the production.
These are just a few of the piles of wood that caught my eye.
