Set fro a production of Just So Stories at Shore Country Day School, Beverly, MA. This fantasy takes place in an overcrowded attic which magically transforms into many fantastic locations.
Here I created a model of the Palace Theatre stage, Westcliff-on-Sea, to dimensions, including the rake (which is the sharpest in England) for the set of Chicago that I created for my 2nd year FMP for college.
I made the frame out of plywood and used puffy paints for the detailing and card for the red decorative piece under the proscenium arch.
I also created my own curtain which was one of the first encounters I'd ever had with a sewing machine
Set Design for the 82nd Annual Academy Awards / Oscars.
Light and movement, the most basic components of moviemaking, will be integrated into this year’s sets to create an immersive, transformative environment. One of the most dazzling elements is the Swarovski Crystal Curtain.
The overall design is intended to evoke a classic but modern glamour, with white, platinum, topaz and smoky bronze hues.
The set also features three circular, revolving platforms that work in combination with rotating LED panels and architectural metalwork screens for film projection.
