What can i say about my boys in Set It Off...hmm just that i love these guys a lot and they are some of the nicest people ever. They came into town for a show that was going to be my Dinomight summer line releases show but it got canceled, so they played another show so right before their set we went outside and took a few pictures for my clothing company: Dinomight, as you can see they are all wearing brand new dinomight shirts. If you have heard them yet do yourself a favor and check them out, theses guys are going places!

On +day 108 I made another trip up Bowden Spur Road. It was only time before I went to have a look at a place I know well. I first hiked near this area when I was a kid of 12/13. Set off from Hurstbridge with a poorly distributed pack and walked up and down the hills till I got to a farm not far from where these shots are taken. Then camped the night down near the creek with a big open fire to keep out the cold.

"... Moose and Goons +day54: The shot(s) you see here are along the Bowden Spur Rd moving from North East from Strathewen. They are historical and taken 2006SEP17 on a hike I took past "Hilltop" and Frasers Rd just out of Strathewen and mainly for people I've met handed out some moo cards so they can gain some sense of what happened on Black Saturday.
So if you're reading the story, you might not know the individuals names or circumstances, but you can be sure this what Strathewen looked like when I went up there one September 2006.
But this wasn't the first time I'd been up this way ...
Later on in High School I met a mate, Moose who lived back down the road a bit. You can read about it here.
I've hiked quite a few times since then. My last back in 2006SEP17. So for many years I've tramped around the foothills. This time I went up with 50lb's (25Kg) of kit and bricks to make up the weight. Started about 7:30 in the morning and got to the top in about an hour and a half. Then made my way back down again. I'm a lot fitter than last time. I distinctly remember being absolutely buggered getting home. I'd carried a lot less but I did go right down into the creek line. I also got into a spot of bother.
But that was in the past. I was quite shocked traveling up to the DOP that the scenery had changed enough, I thought I'd missed turn-offs. Only recognising where I was by the infrequent street signs.
The place had changed that much.
Went to the top of Bowden Spur, walked back and went up to the Old Mans place. There was some work on that day so I spent the rest of the day pulling down one of the old sheds. Ripping off tin, pulling nails and placing it on a trailer. Finished the day with the shed in pieces, the tin stripped. All that was left was the frame. Wish we hadn't concreted the frame in.
