This is my first levitation and I don't think it's too shabby (: This song has described me perfectly for the past two years of my life and is the inspiration for this.
What I love so much about shooting is that you have an idea in your head and when you try to make it come to life, it doesn't always work out. Yet somehow you come up with something equally or even more amazing than what you originally thought of, even though it usually comes out very different.
... Go!
The Virginia Aquarium released two rehabilitated green sea turtles named after ice-cream flavors at First Landing State Park on July 11. “Mint Chocolate Cookie” and “Pistachio” spent six months at the aquarium recovering after being found cold-stunned and stranded in December on the beaches of Fort Story and False Cape State park respectively.
Both turtles have been fitted with pit identification tags and small acoustic tags that will track their movements by sending a coded message to receivers stationed in the Chesapeake Bay and coastal ocean waters.

I went back to the badlands today to wander around a mass kill area of fossilized tortoises. There are hundreds of them visible above ground. I am assuming that they were killed about 30 million years ago.
The area where they are exposed if very far from any road and I had to walk a great distance to get to them. But, I made it once again and took some nice photos...I think. I walked many miles and took my time along the way to photo just about anything I found of interest.
I arrived here a little after 6am and it was chilly and the sky was overcast. The temperature was 27F, but by the time I finished 3 hours later it had warmed up to 31F. At least I didn't forget to wear my gloves this time.
I picked this vintage coffee set up in a charity shop in Liverpool. I love the colours and the art deco style. It looks great on my dresser!

The first time I've seen this set was in 2006... it is still in the same window in an art gallery in Zürich.
Table Lawn Tennis “Tab-Ten” by David H. E. King Ltd, London, 1920s. Cardboard box. Inside the lid is a photo of Army generals playing outside and tributes for the new game. Pair of metal posts and green close-mesh net. A further piece of net plus a quantity of white tape. 2 wooden bats stamped “Table-Lawn-Tennis”. 3 unmarked balls.
