Deboxing the 2013 Disney Princess 11 Pack doll set. First the top lid is opened and the backing tray is slid out. The dolls are attached to the backing by wires, thread and plastic T-tabs.
First look at the newly released 2013 Disney Princess Classic Doll Collection, 11 doll set. I bought it today (October 31, 2013) from my local Disney Store. It is $119.95, and not yet available online. Thanks to Shivida for mentioning that it was out in stores this Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, along with the second wave of Frozen merchandise.
The dolls appear to be the same as those in the UK Disney Store's Disney Princess Dolls 11 Pack, which has been available in Europe for several months. They are the 2013 Classic Princess Dolls, but in glittery outfits that are modifications of those worn by the dolls in the 2012 10-pack doll set. Merida makes the 11th princess, and she is wearing the light blue green formal dress. As usual, the packaging is different from the UK set. Also the princess are ordered in reverse order of the releases of their original animated movies.

This is an older photo. I have flat bars, different wheels (one wore out and the other was stolen), a 48t instead of the 46t here, Shimano 959 SPDs, a better seatpost (this one pictured came out in small pieces), a comfy and light Serfas seat. Lastly, the bike is set up as a single speed with FR (Shimano 105) brakes and a freewheel.
I have the flat bars because I couldn't figure out where to put brake levers on these handlebars because of the numerous hand positions - none of which are good for brake levers. I didn't want the silly cross levers.
As it turns out, working as a messenger in NYC with a single speed is faster than a fixed gear. As the traffic and congestion worsens and the j-walking pedestrians and NYPD become stupider, the need to carve through everything like tight New England single track becomes more apparent.
There is a certain glamor to high speed sprints through one of the busiest cities in the world on a very simple and lightweight bike with no brakes. On many days I miss it but on many days I don't.
At some point I would like a real road fork to improve the handling of this thing with brakes. With a new road fork (Easton carbon if I can) I would love a new stem and bars (Easton XC90 and Monkey Light) as well as a shiny new, red Chris King headset.
It will be hilarious to have such high end parts on a welded, Chinese-made track frame that's been through absolute hell. I figured I should keep the frame as long as it holds together, just as an experiment.
Of course that can change with my finances.
In this photo and the ones near it, I was visiting my long-time friend Stacey in her little apartment "across the street from the Long Island Sound" in Stratford, CT. She was in and out of the hospital in neighboring Bridgeport, CT for a serious blood clot in her leg. I would take the train from Grand Central Terminal to Stratford with my big red messenger bag and my bike. I rode from the train station downtown to her apartment a few miles away. From there I would borrow her car to drive to the hospital if she was there or just visit and help her with things in her apartment.
I took the time to go to the beach (which I miss) and just relax.

The knot is made of a floral printed sateen ribbon.

Each hairbow is anchored on an Aligator Clip also know as a Super Curl Clip with NO SLIP GRIPPERS added on.

And now, the second set I made like a delicacy for Chrissy, largely inspired by "Snow White" after she ask me "something in pink and turquoise"...
This set is composed of
- A large pettitcoat with eight layers of tulle fabric, in a mix of baby pink, salmon and ivory, held on edge by silk ribbon embroidered flowers garland
- a dress in cotton voile fabric in shade of turquoise, the wintergreen skirt is cut in a swiss dotted voile, the turquoise bodice with boning and beads, special sleeves, lace collar encircled by a bouble row of silk ribbon, emlbroidered flower as jewel on the chest
- A medium bow in pink washed silk fabric
This outfit is worn by my Custom Lounging Lovely Blythe doll called "Cassis"

Las dos principales consolas de la actual generación, Xbox One y PlayStation 4, se presentaron inicialmente durante 2013 con el negro como color principal. Algunos detalles también estuvieron disponibles desde el primer momento con otras tonalidades, pero el cuerpo principal de ambos cacharros se ha mantenido siempre igual. Hasta ahora.
Tanto PS4 como Xbox One tendrán sus ediciones blancas durante este año. La de Sony lo hará bajo una edición especial junto con Destiny y su blanco glaciar; por su parte, la de Microsoft en blanco aún no es oficial, aunque ya ha aparecido en algunas tiendas online: sí, Xbox One terminará llegando en blanco, y casi coincidiendo en tiempo con su compañera y contrincante de batallas.
En el caso de la Xbox One blanca os sonará porque surgió como una edición especial para empleados de Microsoft. Ahora se abriría al público y, como la PS4, también con una edición especial junto con Sunset Overdrive, una exclusividad para las de Microsoft que se especula con que vaya a lanzarse al mercado a finales de octubre. Lo lógico es que el bundle de la Xbox One blanca y Sunset Overdrive también empiece a venderse en esas fechas, claro.
Jugando al ajedrez: negras o blancas, tú elijes
Suele ser muy habitual que las consolas de escritorio se presenten primero en color negro con las salvedades de Nintendo, cuya Wii empezó vendiéndose sólo en blanco, y la Wii U en ambos colores. Tanto Microsoft como Sony han tenido affaires tanto con negro como con blanco, dependiendo del modelo con mayor o menor importancia de uno u otro.
Evidentemente el color de una videoconsola no afecta en absoluto a su rendimiento, pero también es cierto que el blanco suele ser un color muy requerido por los usuarios de tecnología, generalmente por una mera cuestión estética. En el pasado también hemos visto, incluso, ediciones especiales mucho más llamativas que los planos negro o blanco, y seguramente éstas también terminen llegando al mercado tarde o temprano.

Calendar set 2012 - Caffè teatro Cesano Maderno
This auction features an absolutly stunning Antique Wallace Baroque complete 6 piece tea service.
Made in the U.S.A. by Wallace Silversmiths since 1835.
Each piece features an intricate design and beautiful engravings.
There are areas that have been securely attached with epoxy.
As you can see from the pictures there is epoxy located on parts of the lids, handles, and legs. It is a common task for a silversmith or jeweler to properly secure pieces with silver solder. Most of the epoxy can be carefully removed without harming the silver set or durability if you decide to do so.
The approximate measurements are taken from the longest points.
The tray #294F measures 29" long with handles, 17-3/4" wide. Large Wallace sticker on bottom.
The Coffee pot #282 (engraved 441) measures 11-1/2" tall, 10-1/4" diameter.
The tea pot #281 (engraved 4) measures 10-1/4" tall, 9-3/4" diameter. Faded Wallace sticker on the bottom.
The creamer #284 measures 5-1/2" tall X 5" diameter. Small Wallace sticker on bottom.
The sugar #283 measures 6" tall with the lid X 6 3/4" diameter. This is a two-piece set including the lid.
