Came across this chess set, sadly the white king had been decapitated and poorly repaired. Ambient light, used the drapes in the hotel room as backdrop along with a very narrow DOF.
These cupcakes are for my son to take to Kindy for his birthday.
Two dozen vanilla cupcakes with buttercream icing decorated with handmade fondant farm animals, flowers and lady bugs.

PERSONAL FUN FACT: This is probably my favorite Valentine's Day themed outfit ever made for Bitty Baby. Okay, I'm biased because my mom surprised me with this set when I was younger. I think the shoes are the cutest part about this ensemble. I love the little heart shaped cut outs!!! You can see that this set came with multiple envelopes and heart shaped stickers. I guess that they were intended to be used as Valentine's cards for other people. Obviously, I never used mine. I like to keep them tucked safely away inside the mail box along with the stickers. I'm sure that the stickers probably wouldn't work anymore due to their age anyways. The mailbox is definitely one of the cutest, most unique accessories I have ever seen for Bitty Baby. I like that the door opens and the flag can be positioned which ever way you want! The sweater and dress are impeccable quality. The embroidered details are my favorites, as always. These socks were heavily played with since I only had one other pair. I love the choice of a beret for Bitty to wear with this....usually she gets headbands. Bitty Bear was given a whole outfit for this set. The apron dress is easy to put on. Of course as a kid I was conflicted about the dress, because I considered Bitty Bear to be a boy...I felt kind of bad dressing him in this. I have an extra sweater that I acquired at the flea market some years ago. I always make a point of hoarding extra American Girl pieces if they are cheap enough.

This commemorative set was released in 2011 to mark the wedding of Prince William & Catherine Middleton in the UK. I think Rev Kevin Water goes down as one of favourite figures of all time :) !

New Mexico Museum of Space History
The Rawin Set AN/GMD-1B was a transportable radio direction finder designed to track a balloon or rocket-borne radiosonde transmitter automatically. The FM or AM "radiosonde" signal would be received, detected, and amplified by the unit and then translated into temperature, pressure, and humidity values for meteorological observations. It could also track wind speed and direction at various altitudes as the radiosonde descended to Earth. This unit was used to receive data from Loki (named after the Norse god) and Arcas ("Al- Purpose Rocket for Collecting Atmospheric Soundings) sounding rockets. These rockets were developed in the 1950s and examples of both are on display in the museum.
Fun Fact The term "sounding rocket” comes from the nautical term "to sound," which means to take measurements. Sounding rockets and receiving devices helped scientists and meteorologists study conditions in Earth’s multiple atmospheric regions.
one set of phallic blossom's concretions with 2 large "skaramouche" lamp work beads. This is ornament for your vehicle rear view mirror, or worn as a necklace. Two complimentary concretion, one for you and one to share.
The Algonquin stones have been wire-wrapped in 20 gauge sterling silver round. The longest phallic measures 3 1/4" and the partner phallic measures 3". Ample 2mm black cording for wearing or support to your totem, 22".
This set consists of three parts: a blouse, a skirt and a corseted overskirt and was inspired by Easter time.
There are three versions of this set, with the same range of fabrics who also inspired me, but in different tones so each set is unique Ooak. The two other sets are in shade of blue or green. This set is fully handmade with a lot of hand sewing finishes.
The blouse sewn in pale yellow muslin batiste, fully gathered around the neckline and on the bottom sleeves, edged with small lace, to give it an "old country shirt" look. The back closure is formed by two pearl beads and embroidered loops.
The skirt has a high waist belt, just below the chest, lined with contrasting fabric that highlights the edge. The bottom line is adorned with a frilly pink silk chiffon, pale pink lace, a moss green silk ribbon and tiny pale pink bows. The back closure is formed by deep pink cubic beads and embroidered loops.
The corseted overskirt is sewn with different assorted fabrics. The front panel with a delicate lacing is embellished by embroidered roses. The overskirt, in the spirit of Little Bo Peep and sewn into a striped matching fabric, is lined with a silk ribbon that goes back to the top of the corset. The lacing is in the back through small metal eyelets.

I just sold this set to a colleague in the Netherlands.

Thanks to Gerry Doby and Mark Llanuza for a heads up on this one. A semi trailer truck trying to back up the access road under the EJ&E overpass here, averted disaster by about 15 minutes. Knowing this train was coming, and seeing a truck driver blocking Powis Rd, and the tracks while he did a 10 point backup turn was a bit exciting. Luckily men and equipment were all clear by the time this thing went flying thru
