I was doing my 365 this morning when suddenly I saw a very bright light. Next thing I know I'm back in our house with all these slimy stuff all over me..
This was the only evidence that I have of the incident.

373 303 leads a GNER service whilst in service with that company from 2000 to 2005 when the lease concluded and they were returned to Eurostar. Later they later went on to work high speed services with SNCF.
While working GNER services the doors of the first and last coach were locked out of use at some stations due to the units being too long for the platforms.
Due to limitations in the power supply on the Hertford Loop Line, only one set was permitted to operate there at a time.
They were restricted to run between King's Cross, York and Leeds only because of gauging on the bridges approaching Newcastle. They were not permitted to operate to Bradford Forster Square because the electrical infrastructure past Leeds was insufficient.

Total capacity: 560ml (240ml rice jar and two 160ml side dish containers). The rice jar is insulated like a food jar to keep the rice warm and soft for lunch. The two side dish containers aren't insulated, but go inside the insulated carry bag that you could drop a cool gel pack into for maximum food safety. Photo of a lunch packed inside is here. The side dishes can go in the microwave, but not their lids. Picked this up at Ichiban Kan in San Francisco's Japantown for US$20 (they had rose color as well -- Bay Area bento shopping guide here).
This beautiful chess set was made of bullets and bullet shells. It was made in Zimbabwe and bought by my daughter at a flea market in Cape Town some years ago. I found it in a drawer whilst spring cleaning, cleaned it up and am now enjoying one of my favourite games. It was probably made during the Rhodesian Bush War. Beautiful handwork of a soldier maybe or a villager? The board is made of brass and copper. Be it as it may, ironically, It was turned into a war game again! (Peaceful this time) :-)

Back on 20th Dec 1994, a major derailmet happened at Waterfall in the Southern Suburbs of Sydney just before the morning peak.
Seen here is the lead car of set S3 with the 2nd 4 cars being set 8 (can't remeber car numbers). S3/S8 ran into the train on platform 1 being sets S13/S11 (once again can't remember car numbers). S3/ S8 came out of the shunt neck at the south end of Waterfall Yard.
The footbridge was propelled onto the up main, 8163 was sent from the south and 8038/ 42213 weresent from the north to move the remaining cars out of the so they could eventually remove the damged cars.

We found this Icelandic pony near a fence in the countryside around Vik. She was looking at us and she seemed really sad...
