A beautiful translucent base in shades of orange is accented with a funky, retro square pattern in bright contrasting oranges and reds. So super gorgeous!

I hand carved this serving dish from a piece of a Black Cherry tree that had been bulldozed over near where I live.

This project started life as a tribute/inspiration about Cousin ITT, it took a life of its own and became Ophelia golden blond hair floating in the brook.
Those of us with bird feeders have undoubtedly had this small, stocky character visit us and have heard his distinctive “chick-a-dee-dee-dee” call. The Chickadee Oval Plate portrays the cheery little bird on a background of pale yellow and greenery with green piping around the rim. The oval serving plate is 12 inches in length, 6 ½ inches wide and 1” deep from base to rim. It is lead-free, made with fired ceramic glazes and is dishwasher safe and ovenproof. A perfect gift for any bird lover!

Small dish carved from four pieces of laminated Black Cherry Wood. Finished with pure tung oil. The wood came from a Cherry tree that had been bulldozed down to clear the edge of a field near my home.
