On our Surprise Sunrise Stroll at the San Diego Zoo we met Kalari the 5 month old Serval. Shani is the Mom and she came out for a little while. Kalari was busy playing with a paper bag filled with hay and hunting scent and a feather toy with the keeper
Looking quite a lot like my cat, but probably not as friendly, this beautiful Serval lies in the sun at Marwell.

Wonderful visit to the Emdoneni Lodge Cat Rehabilitation Centre in Hluhluwe, Northern KwaZulu-Natal
The aim of the Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre is to care for wild Cheetahs, Serval Cats, African Wildcats and Caracal (Lynx), which have been orphaned or injured in the wild and are in need of care and rehabilitation. We also intend to breed where possible and release the offspring back into their natural habitat.
Many visitors are surprised when they see tigers on display at the Downtown Aquarium, but I had no idea there was a Serval here too. It lives in a facility behind the Aquarium and plays a role in educational programs.
