One of my students gave this ornament to me many years ago. It hangs on my tree each year as do many others that were gifts.
I punched as much small flowers from the paint swatch as I could. I saw this design on pinterest. Loved it!

Love padlocks are a custom by which sweethearts affix padlocks to a fence or similar public fixture to symbolise their love. Began in the 1980s, in the centre of the southern Hungarian city of Pécs. Has since moved to other cities around the world.
The blue background was naturally caught with the camera when the flash reflected in the electric blue sequins. Amazing.

the last week has been mostly spent hand-stitching square black strip sequins to 2 jackets ...
I wasn't alone - there are well over 300 woman hours of labour in this be-sequining ... I did about 70.
I did most of the fronts & one sleeve and the finishing on this jacket.
BTW: applying sequins to a finished garment is not the best way to make an all-over sequined garment. The best way is to start with be-sequined fabric, and make the garment from that.
